i’ve been noticing something weird about recent ai boom on 𝕩.

a lot of the activity feels driven by trends and hype rather than building durable, long term ai products.

from ai bidding websites like outbid, ai ads spaces on cars and now ads spaces on macbooks, and a growing number of people seemingly rushing to build trendy ai products designed to go viral on 𝕩 and make quick money.

are these subtle signs that the ai bubble is starting to look a lil poppy?

or am I reading too much into it?

hot take on the Gemini 3.5 pro situation:

Google is in a really tough spot. i can’t even imagine the pressure on the Google DeepMind team rn. between the constant delays, the target missed internal benchmarks, and the endless fake "leaks" hyping people up, the stakes seems ridiculously high.

and the longer the delay, the higher people's baseline expectation becomes. if Gemini 3.5 pro drops and isn't at the same level of it's competitors, it’s going to be a terrible look for Google.

they might be better off shifting 100% of their resources into Gemini 4 pro.

it definitely won't beat fable, we'll have to wait for gemini 4 pro for that level of performance. but i hope it's at least at the same level as opus 5 or gpt 5.6 or kimi k3.
it'll be really nice of google @antigravity tho if they would add kimi k3 as one of the other model options in the antigravity app since it's open source and is miles better than whatever they're currently serving (including their own models). hopefully the gemini 3.5 pro is also very good lol.

i think AI chatbots should have the option turn a temporary chat to a normal chat. sometimes a temporary chat session might just be going so well that you wanna save it.
