Today, I watched my mother carefully picking fresh molokhia leaves with her own hands, and it brought tears to my eyes. We have been deprived of this simple meal for months. War has turned even the smallest blessings into distant dreams. Seeing her smile over a handful of green leaves reminded me how much we have lost.
