Even if him getting a WWE contract is a formality, if AJ Styles doesn’t want his son to get heat, he has to let him be his own man and go through the process on the independent scene the same way everyone else does, and that includes helping with chairs, setting up the ring, taking it apart, shaking hands, getting water and shit out of the cars etc etc.

As a father I totally understand taking up for, and protecting your kid, but he gets infinitely more respect if he doesn’t approach it like an AAU kid, and that’s a conversation they should probably have behind closed doors before his next booking, even if the conversation is “play the game”.

You don’t want a situation where the wrong guy potatoes him purely out of jealousy or someone in a locker room messes with or ribs him because he’s seen as entitled. AJ’s been around the block, he knows how this goes.
