@docboogie@CxzCatherine@AnewTrackrecord Loudest concert I ever heard was at The Bombshelter at U. Waterloo, Fall of '94. My ears were bleeding after that concert.
@ScottUpham@StephenGrantha8@CxzCatherine I'm an OG grunge guy, I turned 19 in '91.
I saw Sloan in concert every Frosh week at University of Waterloo every Fall from '92-97. Still love People of the Sky and Underwhelmed. 'I know it's not cause I looked it up.'
Sloan were grungey enough for me. I would not call them pop.
@StephenGrantha8@ScottUpham@CxzCatherine Same thing can be said about The Hip. They were on SNL Mar. 25/95 did, Grace Too (one of my faves) and Nautical Disaster, without the extended lyrics etc.
@ScottUpham@CxzCatherine God, I saw them at University of Waterloo my Frosh year ('92) and the subsequent 4 more years I was there. Well, I missed '95 due to this (see pic)
@uniformcritic I remember seeing that. Flanagan tried to finish his career gracefully but didn't work thanks to the 'Juiceman' Jose Canseco. He came to the Jays a couple of years later.
@RetroCardSnaps I'm p[artial to the two blue sets, '86 and '87 as they were the first two US sets I began collecting out of the pack up here in Canada. Still have them both in binders.
Those '81 sets were so rushed. I only have the Topps set from that year.
@EdMcQuade11@Super70sSports Damn, man you beat me to it.
Summer of '77, saw my first game with my dad. I was 5 got a wicked sunburn sitting behind home plate on those boiling seats.
@td_nash I had to look this up. I could only think of Archie.
Morton Anderson (kicker)
Drew Brees
Archie Manning (Peyton and Eli's dad)
Coach Ditka and Mora (best hair!) 'Playoffs?' IYKYK
@CTOTHELOS77 Overrated? I cannot say any of them were overrated. They were all influential, epic pro wrestlers during their times.
I honestly cannot say any of them qualifies in my mind.
I was a Hulkamaniac in the mid 80's and loved Flair simultaneously. Rock and Brett were both great too.
@YeshuaMessiah12@WorkElizab We (men) are the protectors of society. We are the 'heavy lifters'. It is what God put us here for. How women actually like us, physically/mentally/emotionally is beyond me but they do.
@WorkElizab I call him a weakling.
Not really a 'man' in the same sense that I'm a man. We (men) are the protectors of society. We are the 'heavy lifters'. It is what God put us here for. How women actually like us, physically/mentally/emotionally is beyond me but they do.
@OleTimeHardball Yeah, statistically speaking he is a Hall of Famer.
But the guy felt he was bigger than the game. The rules don't apply to him. His case killed one Commissioner and permanently stained baseball.
Never, in my lifetime, should he be granted Cooperstown access. Case closed.
