for hardcover books, do you guys keep the book jackets on or off?
i almost never buy hardcover b/c it's too expensive lol but I got one on sale last week and realized it's been a while. i tend to leave the jackets on
@writtenbymxxn most of what goes into me choosing a book is the language and the sort of visual art of the words, i find that plot is 2ndary
bestiary is beautifully grotesque and poetic
DDR is *very* experimental and essentially dismantles the english language in conflict with the western canon
@writtenbymxxn bestiary is about a girl who one day wakes up with a tiger's tail
dance dance revolution is a tough read, but it's about a korean guide in a place called the desert (mirrors las vegas) being interviewed by a historian
really loving it so far
I'm a very slow reader because I close read, so annotating to hell and back on my first read makes me take a looot of time to finish a book
