🚨EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea Preparing Improved Bid for Granit Xhaka as Alonso Pushes for Reunion!
Chelsea are preparing to submit an improved offer for Granit Xhaka after their opening £8 million bid was rejected. Despite the setback, the Blues remain confident that a deal can still be reached and are ready to return to the negotiating table.
The new proposal is expected to be worth between £10 million and £12 million, with Chelsea willing to go as high as £12.5 million if necessary. The club are determined to match Xabi Alonso’s vision as they continue strengthening the squad.
Xabi Alonso is personally pushing for the reunion, having identified Xhaka as one of his priority targets this summer. The Chelsea boss believes the experienced midfielder’s leadership, composure, and winning mentality would be invaluable to his young squad.
Negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming days as Chelsea look to get the deal over the line. With Alonso fully behind the move, the Blues are making it clear they are not ready to walk away from their pursuit of Xhaka.
BREAKING: Chelsea have submitted a 2nd bid for Granit Xhaka in a total package of around £18M
Chelsea is pushing and the player is still pushing.
Let's wait for Sunderland response.
🚨🇪🇸 Chelsea have reached an agreement with Pep Chavarría on personal terms. However, the clubs are apart on the transfer fee! Chelsea have offered £10.3m with add-ons and bonuses, but Rayo Vallecano want above £17.2m.

🔵 Xhaka to Chelsea isn't about needing a midfielder. It's about needing a translator.
Everyone's calling this a "legacy signing." A 33-year-old walking into a rebuild. That's the lazy read.
Here's the angle nobody's talking about: Chelsea's average squad age is 23.8. That's not a football team, that's a university intramural side with better haircuts. Alonso isn't signing Xhaka to play 38 games. He's signing him to be the only voice on the pitch who's actually run a title-winning dressing room.
Leverkusen didn't win the Bundesliga unbeaten because Alonso drew nice patterns on a whiteboard. They won it because Xhaka sat in the pivot and directed traffic like he'd been doing it since birth. Every rotation, every press trigger, every "drop now, go now", that was Xhaka's voice, not just Alonso's tactics.
Chelsea's midfield right now is talented and lost. Caicedo is a monster physically but still learning when to break lines versus hold shape. Fernandez, if he stays, plays on emotion. Neither of them tells the back four what to do before it's too late.
£8m was never getting this done and everyone knew it. Sunderland aren't selling their captain and Player of the Season for pocket change. £10m won't either. This deal closes somewhere north of £20m or it doesn't close.
But watch the personal terms angle. Xhaka wants London back. Xhaka wants Alonso back. When a player is this clear on wanting the move, boardrooms usually find a way.
This isn't a nostalgia signing. It's Chelsea buying themselves a coach on the pitch, because right now they don't have one.
🚨 Chelsea are preparing a second bid for Granit Xhaka after Sunderland rejected their opening £8M offer. 💙
Xabi Alonso is driving the move and is keen to reunite with the 33-year-old, but Sunderland remain determined to keep their captain after qualifying for Europe.

I’ve said for ages that Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea. And today Bayern confirms it will not activate the buy option.
Chelsea’s view remains the same. Will join the first team squad after his rest period after the World Cup, and Alonso will look to integrate him as competition to Joao Pedro. However Chelsea value him at £65m. And if an offer were to come - they would consider it. Also been told for the first time today that Chelsea would be willing to come down slightly on that valuation if a deal could be made.
I'm hearing Chelsea made an improved offer for Pep Chavarri, tho the bid wasn't specified but they said Rayo Rejected and they want €50M for the player.
It's not confirmed yet, I will do a follow up on this.
🚨🔙🗣️ | An interview with Dastan Satpaev that he gave just over 10 months ago.
Journalist: Do you know how Chelsea is shaping their transfer policy right now? Back in 2021, the club wanted to sign Zakharyan. Their philosophy now is to buy talented players from all over the world - from Ecuador, from Kazakhstan, wherever. They sign these talents and give them long contracts, five to seven years, to secure them. But there’s a risk they’re just collecting players, and then it depends on who manages to break through. Many might not make it. Tell me, why do you think you will?
Dastan Satpaev: Well, I don’t know... Maybe because I won’t give up and will go all the way. I believe my faith will help me on this path, my parents will be there to support me, as well as my close people. With that kind of support, I’m confident I can achieve big results.
Journalist: But aren’t you afraid that Chelsea signed you just “in the flow”? Like: good stats - let’s take him, just like all the other talented players, but without really understanding the details. That they signed you almost as an advance?
Dastan Satpaev: Of course, that’s possible. But even if that’s the case, I’ll prove myself so they’ll change their opinion about me..
🚨 Inter have now made direct contact with the agents of Chalobah, and are working on a deal.
Trevoh really wants to play in Italy and is excited by this prospect, nothing is done, but talks are ongoing, Chelsea want around £35m.

🗣 @alex_crook: "Maxence Lacroix is high on Chelsea's list of potential new defenders that they're looking to sign, looking to bring a bit more experience to the heart of their back line.
No official approach yet, I'm told, between Chelsea and Crystal Palace, but Palace, the conference league winners, very aware that Chelsea had their eyes on Maxence Lacroix."
