Iran's sun and lion flag has been raised on Iran's embassy in Copenhagen ๐
Several diplomats at the embassy, including the ambassador himself according to some reports, have applied for asylum in Denmark.
I'm not sure most countries understand we're in a potentially rolling WWIII. Some countries are still stuck in pointing fingers. Some countries don't understand why they are excluded. I'm not sure it's going to be as short as people think.
China imports crude oil based on the day, between 65 and 85% of its total, and about three-quarters of that comes specifically from the Persian Gulf. And that has now dropped to zero.
Unlike countries like the United States, which are major oil producers and exporters, and Japan, which has been dealing with being an importer country for a century, and so has over 200 days of import cover. China has significantly less coverage in its reserves and is preparing for an impending energy crisis.
Additionally, we're now seeing targeted airstrikes on infrastructure like the massive oil depot in Tehran on top of the shut-ins that have already taken place. If nothing else significantly changes, considering that the war in the Persian Gulf is only in its first week, and neither side seems to be backing down.
In the case of China, panic is setting in on their side of the horizon.

I'm Boris and I created Claude Code. Lots of people have asked how I use Claude Code, so I wanted to show off my setup a bit.
My setup might be surprisingly vanilla! Claude Code works great out of the box, so I personally don't customize it much. There is no one correct way to use Claude Code: we intentionally build it in a way that you can use it, customize it, and hack it however you like. Each person on the Claude Code team uses it very differently.
So, here goes.
