When we met President @KagutaMuseveni in October 2020, I presented to him a paper( proposal) on how we thought(@TUCA256 )the industry should be stream lined! First on the list was to amend the copyright and neighboring rights law, Private copy levy, An independent culture and Arts ministry and advised him to stop wasting Money on self seeking Artists but work with Organized artists' Institutions with strategies on how Art can impact and employ millions of young Ugandans...among others( I will share that document)and it was on that pretext that he wrote me a letter and gave presidential directives that are helping shape the industry....
We will avail a new improved document to include Art in the national Planning strategy cse ART IS THE FUTURE and it can help save our young people!
We want Art leaders with Visions!
