@DanielOtabor@taiwoyedele@DanielOtabor, your submission is quite apt. Presentation of some vital clarifications on the concerns raised by the IMF rather than the seemingly combative posturing remains the easier&simpler route for government.
@CDCFIBNG The world of public relations practice has moved beyond this level. Modern Public Relations Press Release pieces should contain persuasive, convincing, empathic, and firm statements rather than combative words that reduce corporate goodwill and public estimation.
@DrJoeAbah Doc, I agree with you that training is important. However, character, competence, and credibility are critical assets for public office, and most times, training can't deliver them.
No matter how many millions you spend on a house, the two people that can ruin it for you are the tiler and the plumber. If you don’t get a good plumber and tiler that can do neat jobs, a N400 million house will look like a face-me-I-face-you yard.

@MSIngawa
Congratulations @MSIngawa on your recent appointment to serve the good people of Katsina State&indeed humanity by HE Dikko Umar Radda,
the Governor of Katsina State,
People who set wrong precedence a few years ago have suddenly become apostles of morality. Time there was when they were flagrantly replacing and displacing elected Governors and Senate Presidents. What a society? Politics without soul. Cognitive Dissonance Syndrome.
It is in one's interest to help put out the fire in your neighbour's house to safeguard against your house being torched. I agree that what is playing out in Rivers State, with an illegal sole administrator, unknown to our constitution, conducting council elections, has implications for the rest of the country. I join other men and women of goodwill to condemn this absurdity unequivocally. -AA
Doc, this is quite insightful. The public office journey is more of a marathon. It often does not give spaces for quick fixes, particularly if enduring outcomes are the targets.
If you have an opportunity to serve in government and you are not the ultimate authority, do not make the mistake of thinking that the person that sent you on an errand necessarily wants you to arrive where he sent you. If you do, you’ll leave government bitter.
Put in your best but manage your expectations. Even when your boss is not sincere, do the right things that will make it difficult for him to undo your work but don’t expect that everything will change overnight. Don’t overestimate yourself. No matter who you are, you are just a small cog in a very big wheel. Be humble.
Sometimes, things actually get worse before they get better. It happens like that sometimes. If you want to change institutions (the way things are done in a society), you need to be prepared for the long game.
Don’t go brandishing chainsaws unless you are the Number 1 citizen. Even the Number 1 citizen must still negotiate with the legislature and carry the judiciary along. He also needs to win the hearts and minds of citizens. It is not like private business.
Serving your country is a privilege, not a right. No matter how qualified you are, there is always someone else who can do what you’ve been appointed to do. Again, be humble. If you can’t, go and stand for elections yourself!

@DanielWhalee Tolu is exceptional. They need to bring him into the Villa media team urgently. The current team appears to be too reactionary. Insightful&timely updates on critical policies, events&programmes are not always available.
@JAMBHQ "Man proposes, God Disposes" as an intro to a serious national issue as this from a government Handle is grossly unprofessional. No nice words for the affected students. Too low.
