I remember reporting almost two weeks ago about Zimbabweans camped outside the Zimbabwean Consulate in Cape Town. What I do not understand is this: these people have made it clear that they want to return home. We all know they did not plan for these circumstances. They have been stripped of their livelihoods and, in many cases, no longer have the financial means to get back to Zimbabwe.

What stops the President from instructing the Minister of Finance and the relevant ministries to organise buses to transport our people from Cape Town back home?
What stops the government from allowing them to cross the border with their personal goods and belongings without charging customs duty, given that this is clearly a humanitarian crisis?

This is not a complicated policy issue. It is a basic act of leadership and compassion.

What I struggle to understand about the Zimbabwean government is that you see men in expensive suits and women in elegant dresses, yet they fail to think in such simple, practical terms.
At times like these, a government should be seen doing what governments are meant to do, protecting and assisting its citizens.

South African media have reported on the plight of these Zimbabweans almost every day. The situation is neither hidden nor unknown. Yet there has been no meaningful humanitarian response from Harare.

The government and its supporters will no doubt come up with all sorts of excuses. But this really is straightforward. Send buses. Bring your people home. Waive customs duties on their personal belongings. They have been forced into this situation by the climate of xenophobia and Afrophobia they have experienced in South Africa.

A government’s responsibility is not to make excuses. It is to act.

3. Why is public money being used to buy Chinomona pillows? Why can’t she buy her own pillows? What kind of pillow costs US$130?

4. What sort of curtains cost US$64,000?

5. How many vases and chandeliers did she purchase to rack up a bill of US$57,874?

6. Can you please give us the names of the suppliers that were used for this “renovation”?

7. When this money was disbursed, was there no concern that the invoices were inflated?

8. Why were procurement laws violated in these purchases? Is the Senate President above the laws that @ParliaZim enacts?

This leaked document is a Cabinet memorandum from Zimbabwe’s Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Ziyambi Ziyambi. It proposes undemocratic constitutional amendments with huge implications for Zimbabwe.
These include having Emmerson Mnangagwa as a life president, because at 86, if he gets another three years in office after his term ends in 2028, he will be 92 years old in 2031.

When I broke the story about Members of Parliament being given land in Mabelreign to block any impeachment attempt and to assist the Zimbabwean dictator in securing a term extension, one that would also benefit the crooked MPs, Jonathan Moyo wrote a long article accusing me of misinforming and disinforming the public.

Many, including some who see themselves as opposition, danced to his propaganda piece. I wonder what they will say now that this leaked document confirms my reporting and the indirect intentions of the land grab.

According to this document, Mnangagwa and his surrogates plan to extend the terms of office for the President, Parliament, and Councils by up to three years, through a two-thirds parliamentary vote.
This is why the MPs were illegally given land, it is greenway land, and the allocation was unlawful and had nothing to do with the 2013 land offers to MPs.

As I reported at the time, they plan to postpone elections for that duration.
They also intend to repeal term limit protections in the Zimbabwean Constitution.

They also want to remove Section 328(7), which currently prohibits the retroactive application of term limit amendments.
This means they are attempting to remove a constitutional safeguard that prevents leaders from benefiting from changes to term limits after they are already in office just like they did with the disgraced Zimbabwean Chief Justice, Luke Malaba.

This change would allow the amendments to apply to current officeholders, effectively giving Mnangagwa and the crooked MPs a chance to benefit from extended terms.

They also want to shift voter registration responsibilities from the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) to the Registrar of Births and Deaths.
The direct consequence of this is the postponement of elections by up to three years, which of course is undemocratic.

Stripping ZEC of its voter registration mandate undermines the independence and integrity of the electoral process in Zimbabwe.

The panic that set in after I exposed the land grab in Mabelreign, and the hopeless defences that followed, were clearly not only aimed at labelling me a misinformer, but also revealed the anger felt by the architects of this crooked, unconstitutional, and undemocratic attempt to drag Zimbabwe into becoming a real banana republic when the land documents were leaked to me.

There was a coordinated attack involving Zimbabwe’s Minister of Information, Jenfan Muswere, ZANUPF trolls, and intellectuals for hire praising Jonathan Moyo’s propaganda piece, along with many others who continue to benefit from this crooked regime. Sadly, some naive and opportunistic opposition activists joined in the attack backed by a fake news website.

I now ask the government’s chief propagandist, @nickmangwana, and his various surrogates to tell the nation whether this leaked document is true or not. Silence will confirm the document’s authenticity.

I also ask the opposition MPs in parliament if they will push back or they will grab the opportunity to drink from this poisoned well?

Giving away of cars and cash has many Zimbabweans believing the only way to make it is supporting ZanuPF. No group further perpetuates this more than the Opposition surrogates and supporters, despite it not being logical. They basically say anyone who has means or money , MUST be zanuPF. Which is incorrect. See, if supporting zanuPF made everyone rich , then everyone SHOULD support them coz then the suffering stops. Nonsense. The truth is even if everyone supported zanuPF , there would still be a top 1% ; just like everywhere else in the world. There would still be suffering.

The truth is there is better, more sure ways to get money in Zimbabwe. That’s through enterprise (growing, extracting, adding value) and trade (selling and value exchange). The only time a party affiliation helps is when dealing with government or council. When dealing with corporate and B2C ; value creation and delivery won’t care what your party affiliation is or your colour or your religion.

Politicians are extremely enterprising, one of their tricks is make you believe the only way to be enterprising is through THEM or following them. This isn’t true. Whether it’s the ruling party claiming they run everything and individuals can’t participate due to “sanctions” or the opposition keeping you from registering with PRAZ, or bidding for tenders coz they will brand you a “sellout” … when over 99% of opposition including leaders participate in government tenders. Just like all ruling party politicians participate. Keeping followers “out” is criminal.

“zanu PF must GO” is no longer a uniting ideology that can keep Zimbabwe’s opposition , citizens, international community and NGOs , going. The moral ground of “Human rights” has been eroded by the wests hypocrisy … you are now more likely to be jailed for a Facebook post in UK than Zimbabwe. Half of USA believe there incoming president is Hitler! The other half want to hang Obama, Clinton and Kamala as sell outs. They don’t give a fuck about your Teapot country politics when they have a 30 trillion deficits to deal with.

The world is becoming more nationalist and insular… tagging the International community about your MP being jailed by the junta literally is pale in comparison to 300k babies and women being blown up in Gaza and no-one caring.

Anyways, 2025, fight for your space. Push your hustle. Learn the ropes. Provide value for your customers. Keep your nose clean. Politicians will come and go. Trade and value exchange will NEVER ever change. No one is gonna save you. You are NOT special. Everyone is selfish first. Balance your rants and activism with your life goals and pushing your agenda.

The fact that Sengezo Tshabangu was able to open a bank account under CCC at CBZ shows why sane Zimbabweans don’t trust the banking sector anymore, it now operates under the guidance of a political party, ZANUPF.

This is criminality facilitated by the government, a bank, and a political party.

This is Banana Republic stuff, it means anyone can open a bank account in your company’s name and take money meant for you.

Even Robert Mugabe never sunk this low, this is disgusting!

My South African followers have asked me why I encourage young Zimbabweans to leave the country instead of staying to fight.

It is because we have a long history of fearless men and women who stood up against the ZANUPF regime and were either killed or jailed and their families got no financial support from the alternative.

There is no leadership structure that has been able to manage and assist the families of these comrades in the past 20 years.

A journalist called Itai Dzamara was killed in 2015 by the regime after his one man protest angered it, no coherent plan was put in place by the alternative to assist his family, wife and kids.

The opposition and civil society have wealthy men and women, but they never so it fit to build a fund for families of these slain comrades.

Only this year has a Zimbabwean woman moved by the plight of Dzamara’s wife and kids assisted Dzamara’s wife to get a job in Britain.
Zimbabwe is a nation where people lie to each other for feel good factor, they are big talkers but very thin on action.

In recent times 2 Zimbabwean opposition politicians Job Sikhala and Jacob Ngarivhime were jailed for protesting against State corruption, their families have struggled financially and have only been helped by ordinary citizens through Go-Fund campaigns and individual handouts.
It should never have been like that.

When Robert Mugabe and Nelson Mandela were jailed, their parties took care of their families fundraising both locally and internationally.

This had a massive effect on recruiting more fighters to take on the colonial regimes in South Africa and Rhodesia because they knew that if they were jailed or killed, their families would get assistance in their absence.

It would be extremely irresponsible for a voice like mine to encourage young people to do things that might result in their families suffering knowing too well that the alternative has no competence and capacity to stand with them.

Put simply, Zimbabweans are not yet ready to fight for their freedom and to take on risks associated with such pursuits like looking after the families of those who will fall on the battle field or those who are jailed.

To do so requires a fearless leadership, at the moment Zimbabwe has no such leadership in the alternative.
ZANUPF will not be fought and defeated through social media and newspapers, it will need courageous leadership.

So young people must seek opportunities in countries that can sustain their growth in the meantime.

There is no revolution that takes place without leadership, so it is unfair for anyone to blame the young people who are leaving the country expecting them to fight.

How do they fight when the alternative leadership is telling them that it will only fight using constitutional means whose constitution is violated daily?

Life doesn’t stop because there is no plan locally, people grow old and families must be fed.

That is why I am saying to young Zimbabweans, seek a plan to leave that will help you sustain personal growth and assist you to bring up your families.

A young person who was 20 years old in 2000 is 43 years old today, they have no job, they have no home, they have no future because they have already lived half their life.

How do I tell their son to stay and fight when they have their father as an example of how Zimbabwe is dysfunctional in every aspect including the alternative organising themselves?

I asked young people to register and vote, they voted and their votes were stolen.
South Africa defended the election heist, what more can they do?

ANC, PAC and many opposition parties to apartheid thrived because they had leadership that was prepared to take huge risks.

Meanwhile in Zimbabwe the alternative is terrified of being arrested, so who will lead the young people.

Whilst we figure out how to answer that question, let us allow the young people to seek greener pastures because life doesn’t stop, they have families to feed, they have a life to live.

My advice to young Zimbabwean people from the bottom of my heart speaking from experience is that if you can leave the country, PLEASE LEAVE NOW!

Don’t waste your youthful days doing nothing when people of your age are progressing elsewhere.

I left Zimbabwe at 23 in 1994 and was able to build the foundation to the life I live today in Britain from my education to my award winning professional career.

I would never have done it in Zimbabwe with only ONE TV station owned by the Government and a collapsed economy run by corrupt politicians.

I secured visas for all my young family members in the past 20 years so that they could have the same head-start I got in life because I knew that they would grow old with nothing to their name if they stayed in Zimbabwe.

Some have now moved from Britain to Australia because they had an opportunity to build their lives in a country where things worked.

The politicians in Zimbabwe have no viable plan for you, you either choose propaganda or you choose to build yourself.

Zimbabwe is a broken nation with no opportunities for young people except for those of a criminal type or those linked to political elites.

I am 52 years old, there are people of my age who have never had a title deed in their name, there are people of my age who have never been on holiday, the same will happen to you if you stick around doing nothing hoping for a miracle to happen.

There are many opportunities for young people across the world, start as a carer in Britain and build yourself up.

Don’t say that nobody didn’t tell you!
Life is one big road with loads of signs, you choose which sign to follow.

To those who have left the country, learn something from my journey, DON’T forget those that you left behind.

Sending them money to buy bread is a sign of responsibility, but it won’t change their lives, you will end up resenting them because they will become an irritating financial burden to you.
Help them get out!

I want to end by saying this, politicians earn their living by selling dreams, it is up to you whether you want to live in Lala-Land or you want to do something about your sorry circumstances.

Zimbabwe is a mess, it will be a mess for a long time unless a miracle happens or someone fearless emerges to take on the corrupt elites and bring revolutionary change.

The current political actors have no ability to change anything or to help you change your lives.
