The primary problem with women working is not the delay in child-bearing, it’s that women see the provision of resources as a key part of their standards for a man.

Specifically, women want a man who can guarantee their single lifestyle on one income, which makes the marriage pool impossibly small for lifestyles based on a modern woman’s professional income. Most women like this don’t find men who meet their standards (who also want to get married) and then subsequently never pair off.

This is also why the standard female solution, “give women more perks and we will have more babies!” never works.

You give women more perks and they use those perks to buy higher lifestyle expectations which decreases their marriage prospects and forces the marriages that do happen to spend more money to sustain that lifestyle.

Bottom line: Boy dollars buy families, girl dollars buy vacations. Nothing will change that dynamic.
