As you become an adult, you realize that things around you weren't just always there; people made them happen. But only recently have I started to internalize how much tenacity *everything* requires. That hotel, that park, that railway. The world is a museum of passion projects.
@WritingByMatt@WritingByMatt I spent the better part of my life growing up in Bangkok, lived in NYC + SG for a few years. Finally back in BKK again and I'm just shocked to see how much prices have increased for F&B
re: neobank thesis - the assumption works well for US, but I see a completely different model taking place in apac / emerging markets in SE Asia
the convergence of legacy banking rails and permissionless DeFi create new financial primitives (eg. Coinbase x Morpho) is a mostly US-centric approach
i think we'll eventually see incumbent super apps (Grab, GCash) and potentially (though a far stretch) state-backed instant payment networks (paynow, promptpay, upi) selectively absorb DeFi primitives into their existing platforms. not sure you need permissionless distribution for permissionless finance
My bottom line: the winner is not who mints the most, but who aligns yield, distribution, and compliance into a network that works for both retail and regulated entities.

If youโre building in stablecoins or payments, I want to hear from you - DMs are open!
Who wins the stablecoin race - Issuers? Fintechs? Protocols?
Since GENIUS, barriers to issuance have never been lower.
Lately, I've been thinking a lot about who captures that dollar - who dictates which onchain dollars users hold?
What to expect over the next 12 months:
โข A long tail of regional and purpose-built dollars (regional stablecoins, payroll, B2B settlement).
โข Fintech-issued or white-label dollars inside wallets and neobanks.
โข Protocol stables competing on pass-through yield and integrations.
The duopoly era fades as specialization grows

unironically using chatgpt for tarot ๐ฅน๐ฅน
"hey chat, do a 3-4 card tarot draw including upright and reversed cards. then based on the spread, analyze and summarize it in 5-7 sentences from an emotional and psychological pov"
The reason you have so much anxiety is because you view every decision as an escape. You need this thing to get you to that number by this age or else it's over
What's so bad about today that you desperately feel needs to be eliminated by tomorrow? If you're honest with yourself, it's all stupid and cringe
Today sucks because I'm not arbitrarily impressing enough people who never cared about me in the first place. If only I could craft a widely accepted image that would get you to think I'm somebody, then I can buy myself more time to avoid having to actually be myself
Fuck that. Embrace abundance. Find what gets you excited and just do it. If it doesn't make you excited anymore, find something else and then do that
Infinite at bats. Swing perpetually. Take the timelines out of it and make dents in everything you touch. There's no end. No proverbial retirement. Just an ongoing extended experience that you have the privilege to take part in however you want
@beausecurity@Support thank you for spreading the word @beausecurity
many in the Igloo family have DM'd me about the impersonator.
