RIP Lynch. Twin Peaks and The Return were major forces in my healing from sexual violence based CPTSD - the truth and mysticism I found in that and all his work changed my life entirely, artistically and otherwise. I’ll miss the sound of his wind and air the most. Heartbroken.
More incredible albums of 2024 that need to be heard:
Anne Malin – Strange Power! (Dear Life) @dearliferecs@amringwalt
Justin Golden – Golden Country: Volume 2 (Self Released)
Smoke Bellow – Structurally Sound (Moon Glyph) @moonglyph@smokebellow
in all this hellish time and space, i am wondering if anyone would be interested in writing some kind of dual review of "what floods" & "strange power!" — both out now on @incastellated & @Dearliferecs, and released in tandem. glad to share the book/record if so. be in touch 💙
The interrogative is imperative, genre a stage for syntax's forensic choreography, the lyric an elixir perfused with both the cosmic and the humane. Another word for such exact and exacting abundance might be song. It might be grace.
