Board Certified Physical Med & Rehab and Sports & Spine medicine, Interventional Orthopaedics, Orthobiologics Specialist, Director of Sports & Spine Institute
Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of Gerard Malanga, MD’s untimely passing. He is still sorely missed, but his major contributions to Orthobiologics live on. RIP a true legend.

How much should a cardiologist (who has debt, expenses, & doesn’t start until ~ age 34) make for placing a stent & stopping a heart attack (2 am/pm doesn’t matter)?
$674
Not asking for more. But people should know we only get 2% of that bill you get. We’re not the enemy.
This includes undergrad. 6.5 years. 180k is as much as pediatricians and pediatric sub specialists make across the country (5-7 years post MEDICAL school) so 13-15 years of education.
Medical reimbursement is a joke and healthcare is extremely broken. All peds should be 2x.
Let’s discuss PRP for Knee Arthritis
Studies show PRP poses no additional risks and can be used as a conservative treatment for osteoarthritis in the knee.

Just published meta analysis comparing PRP, prolotherapy, and corticosteroid injections for CTS. Interesting findings.

@SpineHealthFdn Every patient is like a snow flake, no two are alike. Yet we try to keep herding them all into a specific category. We should focus on the individual. EBM is a guideline on how most people respond. 80/20 rule. Most people seeking care are probably the 20% that didn’t get better!
@akhadilkarMD Every trainee should think, “what would I do if this was my family member” and keep that in their mind with every patient encounter. (Unless, of course you hate your own family!)
@btabarsimd@DGlaucomflecken I had the same issue at Walgreens, because my insurance is not in network with Walgreens!?!? This is the problem when government allows insurance companies to purchase pharmacy companies and vice versa. Where is the stark violations? Where the govt sunshine act?
This is your reminder that evil corporations like CVS hate social media bc it's the only thing they can't control. They own politicians, laws, patients, doctors, hospitals, medical decisions, but they don't own social media and it bothers them. We should all be brand terrorists.
@aussieavidread @ericbkennedy You can not get COVId but still be an asymptomatic spreader, your body can suppress it better than others. Maybe you were previously exposed before it became a “big event” and have immunity. Maybe you don’t have the receptors for it to attach to. One day we may know that answer.
