Lyrical is a long term support ROS release with tier 1 support for Windows 11 and Ubuntu 26.04 until May 2031.
This release has a ton of great features that make it worth the upgrade! ๐

Development on #microROS is going strong. We have incredible updates being merged into the esp-idf component, and are upstreaming the patches in our forks.
The biggest help right now would be to review our PRs and to tell us about your biggest problems with the framework.โ

I am really happy to announce that I am now a maintainer of #microROS, created by @EProsima to use #ROS 2 with MCUs.
Here's what comes next:
1. Many bug fixes and updates to the repos
2. Release of all packages to their platform's package manager
3. @zettascaletech Zenoh support

Since @GeminiApp models maximise the use of the context given to them, a good use case I tried today was using them to create libraries for an IC based on its datasheets.
This works way better than manual effort, as important details are often missed in these massive documents.
We finally solved code hallucination in agents.
Introducing AgentSearch.
Give your agents direct bash access to any docs so they can explore them like a filesystem.
Created a new teleoperation tool for #ROS2 robots called RQT Teleop.
In the future, it will be a universal teleoperation GUI for all kinds of robots.
Here's how the current features make it better than other tools out there:
- Commands automatically zero out when keys are not being pressed
- Pressing multiple keys at the same time works properly
- Current command is continuously published at 20 Hz
- Select available `TwistStamped` topics from the ROS graph or enter a topic manually
Since I am creating a robotics startup, getting these credits means I can focus our spending towards robotics hardware and not have to worry about AI and cloud expenses.
