As a lifelong Resident Evil fan, this movie was fucking awful.

Boring plot. Forgettable characters. Forced comedy. Cheap jump scares. And why is the “gamer” some incompetent dweeb who can’t shoot?

Resident Evil is supposed to be dark, terrifying and BADASS.

Oh no, the director made a movie that wasn’t based around Leon or any main characters and instead made it to fill a gap so people could see regular citizens reacting to the virus outbreak.
