Third places don't just magically appear — people make them appear by repeatedly going to to the same place over and over again and meeting people who also like going to that place — until eventually you can just go by yourself and know you have friends there.

Just spent 30 mins in my GP's waiting room, overhearing a string of upset, baffled older people protesting that they couldn't download the app, follow the link etc. The speed with with companies and businesses have pursued merciless digital exclusion absolutely boils my piss.
This is why we don't chuck stuff at Stonehenge - if @JustStop_Oil had done their flipping homework...
What they've just done is ecological vandalism.

She gently reminded us that by the time this year ends, she would have given us two years of her life, 150+ shows, a new album, at least 2 rerecords and endless moments shared with us. She’s allowed to rest and focus on other projects she can’t do while on tour, don’t be greedy
many people chose public service professions because they want to contribute to society and help other people, even if they could earn more doing something else.
Thirdly ( and oh yes I will probably get to ninthly) this obsession with earnings as a measure of quality and value is narrow minded and misses the many other benefits of going to university- to the individual and the country.
Delighted to see the government has finally found £2.5bn a yeat to spend entirely on young people.
More homes?
Reduced tuition fees?
Better mental health care?
Reopening the youth centres?
Investment in skills?
Nope, they’re going to be forced to join the army or do some volunteering.
