Austin Metcalf is dead.
Let’s stop dancing around the obvious.
Austin Metcalf received the death penalty.
Karmelo Anthony received 35 years.
One of them lives.
One of them gets a gravestone.
Save the faux outrage.
The real victim in this case is NOT the convicted killer.
The real victim is the young man who will never come home again and the family that will spend the rest of their lives grieving a loss that can never be undone.
This was a track meet.
A place for competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
NOT violence.
NOT murder.
And spare us the racial narratives.
Murder is wrong regardless of the race of the victim or the perpetrator. Any decent society should be able to agree on that.
Austin Metcalf lost everything.
His family got a life sentence of grief.
And while some are busy turning this tragedy into a racial debate, the Metcalf family is looking at the empty chair at the dinner table and remembering who actually paid the highest price.
Austin Metcalf got the death penalty.
Never forget that.
This is so awesome. This truck driver finds 5 abandoned puppies. He takes them in and raises them. It’s so cute to see them in the trailer just looking at him. ❤️🐶 Now he has some travel companions.
RFK Jr has cut Alzheimers research.
Alzheimers.
One of the most devastating, urgent and increasing health problems we face today.
He's not interested.
He's a nasty piece of work.
BREAKING: Scott Pelley Just Made A Pretty Stunning Allegation.
According to Pelley, CBS leadership wanted a story about the killing of ICE protester Renée Good changed to better match Trump's version of events.
Pelley says he was told management wanted protesters portrayed as more violent and wanted Good described as driving toward the officer who shot her. He says the video evidence showed otherwise.
Then came the admission.
"There was a thumb on the scale for the president's version of events."
A veteran journalist with 37 years at CBS is alleging political pressure was applied to change the facts of a story.
That's a remarkable accusation.
Tonight, a carriage horse collapsed and died in Central Park. We do not yet know this horse’s name, age, history, or what caused their death — but we do know this: no horse should spend their life pulling a carriage through the streets of Manhattan.
We have seen this before. Ryder. Lady. Aisha. Charlie. Smoothie. And now another horse whose life ended on the pavement.
This moment demands more than outrage. It demands action. On Thursday, the City Council will reintroduce Ryder’s Law legislation to finally transition New York City away from horse carriages and retire the horses to sanctuaries.
That future will include the workers, too. Carriage drivers deserve a real transition plan with stable jobs, protections, and benefits — and we are ready to work with TWU and all stakeholders to make that happen.
But doing nothing is not an option. Another horse is dead on the streets of New York City.
For the horses. For the workers. For New York City.
Pass Ryder’s Law.
We have lost our minds.
A jury convicted Karmelo Anthony of murder for stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf to death. Evidence was presented. Witnesses testified. Self-defense was rejected. He got 35 years.
That’s not a “legal lynching.” That’s justice.
Crying racism because the killer is Black and the victim was White doesn’t change the facts: actions have consequences.
Austin is dead. His family grieves. The system worked.
Stop excusing violence.

Los Angeles: Transient sucker punches elderly customer eating lunch alone at a cafe in Hollywood, steals his wallet and phone. Hero steps up and takes the thief down.
Wild commentary from Jennifer Welch on MSNBC.
"JD Vance is married to a woman of Indian descent. He has mixed race children. So to all of the MAGA voters out there, if this man will not defend his wife and will not defend his kids, do you think he gives a crap about you?"
This HVAC technician went to the wrong house to fix a furnace… and ended up being an answer to someone’s prayer.
He showed up thinking he was sent there, fixed the broken relay, and got the heat working. When he realized he had gone to the wrong address, the woman started crying and told him she had prayed that morning asking God to send someone to fix her heat because she couldn’t afford it.
He told her it was on the house and left her with a warm home. Sometimes God really does work in mysterious ways.
Have you ever experienced something that felt like it was meant to be?
