🚨WOW!!!
A 17-year-old who was just named HOMECOMING KING looked over and saw his friend with Down Syndrome who had been DREAMING of being homecoming kind for years...
...so he took off his crown, GAVE IT TO HIM, and led the ENTIRE SCHOOL in cheering for him!!! 😭
The two boys hugged right there in the middle of the gym. ❤️
You see, this took place at Mahanoy Area High School in Pennsylvania.
That year, yhere were only two nominees for homecoming king that year, Keni... and his friend, 17-year-old Axton Kuhl.
Axton has Down syndrome and Axton had been dreaming of homecoming for YEARS.
His mom says he talked about becoming king over and over.
But when all the votes were cast, they called called Keni’s name, not Axton.
But then, Keni looked over at Axton and knew just what he had to do.
He walked over, took off his crown and sash, and put them on his friend, then led the ENTIRE SCHOOL in cheering for him.
Axton broke down into tears.
But here’s the part you don't know...
Keni has a little brother with autism.
He says he did it because he’d want someone to show HIS brother that same kindness if it were ever him standing in that gym.
THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Teach Black children their history? ABSOLUTELY! But teach them ALL of it, not some carefully curated historical narrative designed to leave them perpetually angry, resentful, and convinced that their future is imprisoned by their ancestors’ past.
You want to teach them about slavery? EXCELLENT! Then let’s teach them about the African kingdoms and merchants who captured, enslaved, and sold other Africans. Let’s discuss the Kingdom of Dahomey, the Asante Empire, and the role African intermediaries played in the transatlantic slave trade.
Let’s teach them about the Arab slave trades, which operated across centuries, and the indigenous systems of servitude that existed in Africa before Europeans arrived.
And absolutely teach them about European colonialism, the Atlantic slave trade, the barbarity of plantation slavery, and the laws that systematically deprived Black Americans of their liberty.
But don’t you dare selectively edit history to manufacture an eternal racial grievance.
Let’s teach Black children about Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, and the extraordinary accomplishments of Black Americans who refused to let oppression define the boundaries of their existence.
Let’s teach them that African history did not begin with slavery and that Black American history did not end with emancipation.
Let’s teach them about African civilizations, scientific achievements, entrepreneurship, intellectual independence, family formation, and the extraordinary resilience of our ancestors.
And while we’re examining historical culpability, let’s examine the American political institutions that defended slavery, enacted Jim Crow laws, and resisted civil rights. Let’s name the politicians, examine their party affiliations, and acknowledge how those parties and their coalitions changed over time. No selective amnesia for anybody.
Here’s where I fundamentally disagree with you.
You appear more interested in teaching Black children whom to resent than teaching them what they can accomplish.
My ancestors endured extraordinary suffering. Their suffering deserves historical accuracy, reverence, and remembrance. It does not require me to surrender my intellectual independence or teach my children that their destiny is controlled by people who lived centuries before them.
History should produce knowledge, not inherited animosity.
Teach the entire historical record, including the uncomfortable chapters that contradict your preferred narrative.
Because a child who knows only the atrocities committed against his ancestors knows only a fraction of his ancestry.
And that is an egregious intellectual disservice.
I will teach my children what happened to their ancestors. But I will also teach them who their ancestors WERE before captivity, what they accomplished afterward, and what they themselves are capable of becoming.
My God did not create my children to spend their lives shackled to the grievances of yesterday.
Teach history. Don’t manufacture helplessness.

@Owennfa Why aren't you helping him out if you are concerned for his current circumstances? Do you have an extra bedroom or couch he can crash on? Your mom probably has her reasons, and how she spends her money is none of your business.
@rajdzpam As someone who has been cursed with a large butt my entire life, I can't help but be entirely vexed by these scantily clad girls who work so hard to achieve and then show off their ample backsides.
@Debbie46959209@redheadranting As long as your dog stays in your yard, no problem. Dog leaves the yard and goes after kids, runners, or bikers, you've got problems and potential lawsuits at best. Are you that confident in your dog's training? Personally, I wouldn't take that risk and have a fenced yard.
@redheadranting As a runner, I have unleashed dogs approach me at least once a month. I have never been bitten, at least not yet, but I am sure the day will come. If it does, the dog will be tazed, kicked, pepper sprayed, etc. and the owners better hope to God they don't get sued to oblivion.
@terribletiffy12 At this point, you all should just go to the gym naked, so little is left to the imagination anyway. Quit being so gotdamn prudish and take it all off.
@DrAyeshaRay I don't think anyone is claiming that these guys are heroes. And all of them, the woman included, are finished and unemployable at this point. Who would hire drug using, sexual degenerates that are so publicly known?
@MsVeteranTeach@pensandpoison 💯. However, art has always had its trends and gatekeepers. It is super difficult to get exposure if your art, writing, music etc doesn't align with the bandwagon status quo.
