i’d like to talk about the airdrop, the past and the future of monad

first let me introduce myself, i’m the son of a middle class family from a developing country, obsessed with physics and technology, found crypto at 12, got into software development at 15

i worked so hard that i didn’t play games, use social media, do sports, surf internet, watch movies, fall in love or anything similar except running, swimming, researching and watching presentations by startup founders and engineers

when i became a relatively good software engineer, i stopped liking crypto because everything seemed like a copy of homework quality projects, and then i found monad

i read monad documentation while they just got a seed investment only but wanted to make a new design and software that replicates ethereum but 1000x more efficient and competes with solana

that made me think if they could achieve their goal, monad would make ethereum ecosystem as accessible as solana for the world, while having all the existing projects, developers, institutional technologies and tools, making blockchain tech ready to go mainstream

before reading monad documentation my best friend told me to install telegram app and invited me to a vip community group for monad

after liking monad documentation i gave it a chance and visited the group and liked the intellectual quality and humor of people in that group

then because i worked so hard already and was careful about spending money, i stopped working and dedicated my whole life to monad slowly without realizing

on that way i joined hundreds of monad events in tens of countries and met thousands of new people

i remember i wished monad never launches so the same culture could remain forever without any monetary purposes, but the time has changed and monad engineers spent 3 years to complete it

they had rewritten almost every component of ethereum from scratch to make it more efficient and optimized drastically and invented a brand new consensus system

monad made new marketing campaigns that didn’t exist before and set new standards in many aspects of the industry

they also made one of the most broad token distribution campaigns among the broader crypto ecosystem and that might be very successful

they used so many smart filters to find long-term community members and it mainly worked, however so many friends i know for more than 2 years, who didn’t see monad as an airdrop opportunity but an ecosystem they wanted to be a part of and support, because they didn’t care about titles, got personally known by the team or many community members

it looks like they couldn’t be found with the filters and i am upset for my friends who couldn’t start one step ahead from the beginning of the launch of monad mainnet and i wish i could change anything about it

i believe when monad team releases more information about how they applied filters, their transparency is going to clear many doubts in minds

i don’t think monad will mess everything up after they perfectly executed everything to become the best general purpose blockchain just because of some influencers receiving more token allocation than some community members

wormhole lost its value because it started at a very high valuation, zksync lost its users because it provided no value over existing l2s except some custom zero knowledge proving contracts, starknet lost its ecosystem because of being tol unoptimized and unstable technology, sei didn’t become the next best thing as it was a fork of cosmos and cronos with no valuable advancements

but monad is almost perfect in every case and if team makes no big mistakes, i believe it will be the next solana / ethereum

also thank u monad for not making me feel like i wasted my teen years by traveling and turning into a modern world priest preaching monad in the world without realizing, by rewarding me like i worked at software

i am super bullish on monad, and the ecosystem is missing without you
