Patrick Mahomes is the 12th highest paid quarterback in the league and Lamar is 9th btw, both are contractually steals.

Both are also cheaper than Herbert and Allen who are several tiers higher?

I tiered QBs based on who I'd want to start a franchise with RIGHT NOW.

Contract value, age, & opportunity cost are all factors.

E.g., Drake Maye is the most valuable QB. Josh Allen might even be a little better, but Maye is YOUNG & CHEAP. And probably better.

@amw22c @TFG_Football One issue he may have moving forward is that - with exception to two outlier seasons where he won MVP - he's been average or worse for a decade. The MVPs get him into the discussion but there's enough meh football on his record for a decade to make easy arguments against him.
