My dad had to transfer a title today at @MichSoS in Grand Haven, and he and his colleagues had seriously the best experience ever. Not sure which lovely lady helped them, but all are immensely grateful for her kindness & assistance on this Friday afternoon.
@JulesRPG 14 days and counting for a small package to travel 250 miles. Took 10 days to get the ~45 minutes from Cleveland to Akron, made it all the way to Detroit in the same day, and now nothing again. I could have driven it to it's destination myself round trip in a day.
@HeatherCHart Santa's probably exhausted from contingency planning and trying to reorganize his toymaking operations to keep his elves safe and we move into the holiday season. If people had only worn masks...
@cuyahogaboe Thanks! Can I suggest adding that to the "track my ballot" webpage? It seems to be a really common question. (Because some states have more status messages, including "counted," which is what I was expecting!
Hey @cuyahogaboe -- is "accepted for counting" the last status we should see for Track My Ballot, or is there a "counted" status of some kind? Seems to be different in different places, and your website doesn't give any info on this.
@Pres_Bartlet Also proud of my team member who emailed me to share her voting plan for tomorrow -- basically "I'm going at this time, but if the line is too long (which I think could happen), then I'm going at this other time, and I've blocked my calendar accordingly."
@Pres_Bartlet Dropped off my ballot at the County Board of Elections about ten days ago, where it was accepted for counting. I dislike the on-site electioneering that's allowed in my state, so I no longer go in person on election day!
My dad is 78 years old, and registered to vote for the first time in his life. It's too bad that it took 2020 to help him see the value of his voice, but I'm also incredibly proud of him for taking action. #vote
In case you weren't sure, "Yo [name] what's up!"is NOT the right greeting for an email pitching *anyone* anything in a professional context. Although I am talking about the email, I assure you, I've already blocked the sender!
@widow__jones Someone recommended this piece today -- it feels both pretty accurate and rather like your description in this thread: https://t.co/OlqjPgc42f
I count on @cvspharmacy to backstop the doc. When the Rx is for double the max daily dose (which is already more than the typical dose) AND it's for a qty that doesn't divide by 2, ask questions, don't just blindly recommend I take it. 🙄
I drove 700+ highway/turnpike miles over the past few days, and did not see a single semi with a US Mail designation number on it. I normally would see at least 3 on this journey, sometimes more. Clearly, the mail isn't moving. #SaveTheUSPS
Apparently a 1-oz piece of first-class letter mail now takes 15 days to travel 900 miles from Northwest Arkansas to Cleveland, Ohio. It used to take 4-5, normally. #SaveTheUSPS
@widow__jones As someone with cold-induced asthma, I am VERY excited to have this option rather than my current "layer 3 scarves & hope not to walk into things when my glasses fog up" approach!
@HunterHammersen Unless it's physically painful (certain types of cables, for example) or requires an unusual notion, once ever does not seem like a deal breaker to me...
@cathairknit I don't think the Ravelry blog has ever had comments enabled -- usually, folks are directed to FLOTR for that purpose. You'll find a link in the "post-launch updates" section of this post -- hopefully that helps!
