@anne_theriault Kids will basically sell their parents if they can make their teachers/counselors do crazy things. Jumping in the lake fully clothed is always number 1 at camp.

Studying about #Auschwitz demands looking at both sides of this human story.

Auschwitz warns us where ideologies of hatred can lead to.
@BrigidKemmerer @JMCwrites I just told my 15 to add Cursebreakers to her reading list, stat! Also Elementals, which is what started it all for me. ❤️❤️
1 February 1932 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Salomon Levie, was born in Meppel.
In October 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz and, after selection, murdered in a gas chamber.
@ca_london Each year I celebrate Banned Books Week in my classroom. Lists are distributed. Guests come in and book talk their favorite banned books. Why? Because Bradbury was right - we don’t have to burn books to destroy a culture …

@BrigidKemmerer My Junior IB students will have you know that 1,000 words is the equivalent of 40 lashes and quite possibly the hardest thing ever. “I’m only at 867!!!! What more can I possible say?!?!”
@CAgovernor@beyondoilgas The sheer amount of warehouses and trucks allowed to operate in the IE, some close to schools where athletes are outside, breathing (as one does), is appalling. Maybe we should remove ourselves from these glass houses before proclaiming ourselves leaders.
