While observing a Phys Ed classroom this week. I watched the use of an IPAD to track laps and amount of miles run through the school year. There was one student that has logged 80 miles since the beginning of school.

These interactive tools will help increase student engagement within the classroom. With platforms like Kahoot, Class Dojo and TED, teachers will have a chance to implement technology in the classroom.
I had a great time experimenting with Google Docs Newspaper Template for my tech integration project! Extremely user-friendly way to integrate technology in a traditional format with a newspaper....most kids have never seen a newspaper in their home, so it's cool to introduce!

This looks like an interesting conference for elementary school teachers to attend. Learning loss and discipline are two big concerns right now for teachers. This conference may provide valuable information for teachers to use in their classrooms.
Tweet #5- In preschool, we do not use technology to teach. The only time I have used technology in the classroom was in a pre-k class. We used starfall for math games. I have more success with hands on math games instead of technology games
I have always used Common Sense Media when trying to decide if a website, tv show or a game are age appropriate for my children. I just found out there is also a Common Sense Education which would be a great resource for teachers to use in the classroom

The Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI) helps support high quality instruction that will give students the tools they need to meet or exceed grade level standards. Now with the literacy act in place, hopefully we will see more kids reading at or above grade level.
