Introducing our new Nannofossil Group Secretary🥳 Claire is a post-doctoral researcher based at Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel in Germany. With research focussed on Paleogene to early Neogene nannofossils and their role in understanding climate and ocean processes.
A structure is the result of every shape found in nature right from the mainland to #ocean. Here is an #electron micrograph of a calcareous #nanoplankton from the Southern Indian Ocean showing a natural collage of shapes in one structure just sufficient to exist in ocean waters.
Great to see this fantastic book on Stratigraphy published after a lot of hard work from all concerned! Congratulations to our amazing editor Angela Coe @S309geology and the Geol Soc team @GeolSoc. It was fun wrangling with Biostratigraphy and Chronostratigraphy!
