Thanks to the fab comms team at Royal Bolton hospital @boltonnhsft for welcoming us @gmb inside this morning to talk about the government’s 10 year plan… you can all have your say on what they should do to help the nhs by going onto the NHS website! #nhs#hospital#livetv
Equalities Champion Award finalists🙌Jody Petersen & Sean Griffiths @boltonnhsft: “It feels great to be nominated. Raising awareness and encouraging acceptance of neurodiversity is important. I just hope the things we do have a positive impact.”
We work with some really forward thinking, compassionate people who want to make accessing health care services as comfortable as it can be for those with additional needs. 💙 Bolton and what we’re doing here.
We've introduced noise-cancelling headphones for people who have additional needs.
They aim to support people who experience noise sensitivity in the loud and busy hospital environment.
It's hoped it will reduce barriers to accessing healthcare.

And what a brilliant pair they are! Devoting as much time as they can to improving life for patients and colleagues with neurodiversity.
I’m really proud to work with them both…fingers crossed 🤞🏻 🌟
We're a finalist in the the Greater Manchester Health and Care Champion Awards 🏆
Jody Petersen, Practice Educator and Sean Griffiths, Plaster Technician have been shortlisted in the Equalities Champion category.
It's for their work in creating a Neurodiversity Toolkit.
Supporting the fabulous @OurBolton_NHS with my fabulous new Christmas jumper today. You can support us too by texting FESTIVEFRIDAY to 70580. Find out why you should here… https://t.co/VUZgUfMqJJ
We’ve also launched our very first neurodiversity colleague toolkit – a detailed document to guide discussions about reasonable adjustments for neurodiverse colleagues.
A few steps towards making this the most inclusive workplace it can be, but all in the right direction #DHM23.
We know that people who are neurodiverse, or care for people that are, may need more support at work.
Tomorrow we’re launching our colleague support group, where neurodiverse colleagues, parents, grandparents…can share advice and support others who understand their situation.
So pleased everyone had a great evening at last night’s #FABB23 awards @boltonnhsft. Loved seeing our winners get their awards…and hit the dance floor and Photo Booth after 🙌🏻💙
We’re welcoming #DisabilityHistoryMonth today, with the launch of our reasonable adjustments passport for staff.
We know that we’re making progress with our support for our disabled staff, but we’ve got a long way to go.
Today marks a big milestone in this journey.
What a day it’s been celebrating our Radiologists and Radiographers 🥳
The day marks the discovery of x-radiation by Wilhelm Roentgen back in 1895.
It’s a day to celebrate and acknowledge the work of all those working in Bolton, making a difference to patient care.
Did it!

Hurrah…today’s miles have taken me over the 75 mile mark, it feels like the end is in sight.
Which is a very good thing, because my legs don’t feel like mine anymore 😂.
10 days to go until the Halloween 🎃 finale with Tombo.
