@GuntherEagleman What some of my fellow Christians don’t understand about this is if the Bible is mandatory in schools so is the Koran, Book of Mormon, etc. in order to represent all religions. Freedom of religion isn’t just for Protestants; it’s for all faiths.
@MrsEmilyFinch I guess I'm a Christian who doesn't "understand" comedy. Even if I supported Trump, I wouldn't have found the bit funny. To stand on a stage as a vetted part of the campaign rally and disparage one particular people group isn't humor in my book.
@megbasham From the dates on these articles, it was an issue under Trump's presidency. What steps did he take to help alleviate the problem? I don't think putting a comedian on stage to poke fun at a serious issue is a good look.
@atrupar One joke? Did people listen to this comedian's entire bit? Nothing I heard out of his mouth was at all funny. He would have been vetted just like any other person on that stage at the rally. A green light for his material means he reflected the values of the candidate.
@Beanie0597 I’m also a teacher (early childhood and reading specialist degrees), and I have a little bit of a different take. Using both whole language and phonics in tandem gives kids a rich learning experience for reading and writing. I believe the same thing is true with math methods.
@sheilagregoire@juleswoodson11 Although God’s forgiveness when repentance is sincere is always available, there are still things that should exclude you from ministry. Committing a crime is an obvious one. This is not okay.
@ThatEricAlper I thought the song was "Secret Asian Man" for way too long. Also, I used to sing Billy Joel's Big Shot as "you had to be a big shot, teacher..."
@OliLondonTV When did we become so cruel? Regardless of what you may think about her choice of clothing, the hate that’s being spewed in these comments is appalling.
