Fantastic evening at @belfastdesignwk 's What's on my block? Meet & Greet event. So lovely to get chatting with other creatives that I haven't met before!
Looking forward to Thursday's event.
The government are planning a 50% funding cut to arts subjects at universities. Our arts sector is something that should be enhanced rather than diminished. The government appear to be hell-bent on destroying critical thinking and artistic creativity.

And in case anyone’s worried about emissions from Evergreen ships like these, carrying our stuff from outsourced factories, don’t be! Emissions from intl aviation and shipping are excluded from our statistics. So in theory, they don’t exist. It feels better that way, doesn’t it?
Any walks around Belfast you’ll likely catch some of Nuala’s striking street art. Mural done with buildings permission, in support of the Homeless Period. Painted over by two men. Public feminist art is routinely defaced and censored here, it’s pathetic
If you’re tempted to write #notallmen, let’s hear all the wonderful work you do. The campaigns you started, the talks you do in schools, the weekly meet ups to discuss male violence. Because right now it sounds like you want a prize for never raping someone in a park
This week is so unrelentingly bleak. I can’t stop thinking about Sarah Everard & all the women who are sharing their stories of harassment, assault and violence. We ALL have these stories and it’s so horribly normalised. Heartbreaking.
Every single woman I know is overwhelmed by the Sarah Everard story. It’s the thing they teach us to be afraid of from childhood. It’s proof that we’re not afraid for no reason.
Today, we are opening applications to our NI Trans Community Fund!
We'll be providing £50-£100 in support to trans folk who need it across Northern Ireland.

half my texts in quarantine these days are essentially short penpal letters — six days to respond, but you get two paragraphs, five questions, and maybe a fun photo
I can honestly say this evening's event was one of my favourite events to date - our panel of speakers were all so insightful, inspiring, and wholesome. There were so many great nuggets of wisdom 💛🌟 @WWCodeBelfast@wearecorgi
