🚨 Alors que @EmmanuelMacron promettait de préserver le Fonds de solidarité pour le développement (FSD) en juin dernier, celui-ci vient d'être supprimé par le gouvernement, au bénéfice d'une subvention.
@jnbarrot@antoine_armand n'abandonnez pas ce mécanisme si crucial ! (1/2)

Despite great diplomatic efforts by Italy to bring most G20 leaders around the table and a promising menu, we are left with a rather empty stomach on #climate and #finance. A missed opportunity 🧵

When I hear men worshipping guns and talking about how there’s nothing that will stop them from defending their family, my mind goes to Naaman in the Bible. Do you remember Naaman? He was a great military leader, and he also had leprosy.

It took @jriver_a and team literally hundreds and hundreds of hours to unpack this. I’m incredibly thrilled to have decent, open access climate fin data but it just shouldn’t be that hard. Good transparency builds trust and that is something climate negotiations definitely need.
Must read for everyone interested in #climatefinance. Particularly as many countries prepare to celebrate (read pat themselves on the back) at #COP28 and to start critical negotiations on a post-2025 climate finance target. Targets w/out decent data aren’t going to mean much 👎

And we have the receipts. A 🧵

You could disagree about approach, but Cameron and Mitchell really cared about it. It is showing again
