USA. I walked in to ask about a job. I walked out having sworn my life to a man named Greg.

I heard a merchant house was seeking warriors. I arrived one hour early, as honor demands, and sat in the waiting hall in perfect silence. A younger applicant scrolled his glowing tablet beside me. He did not understand what was coming. I did.

A woman called my name. My real one, this time. I rose. I followed her to a small room where a man sat behind a desk. Greg. Lord Greg.

He stood and offered his hand. I took it as the grip of fealty and held his gaze. "Thanks so much for coming in," he said. I told him the honor was mine, and that I would not disappoint the house.

"So," he said, leaning back. "Tell me a little about yourself."

A test of lineage, before he would accept my blade. I told him of eight hundred years. I was three sentences in when he smiled and said, "Love the energy." I did not know energy could be loved. I accepted the compliment and pressed on.

"We're kind of like a family here," he said.

A clan. I had suspected as much. I bowed my head. To be taken into a man's family is no small thing. I swore to defend it to my final breath.

He laughed. "Ha. I like that."

Then, folding his hands. "Are you a team player?"

He was asking if I would die for the men beside me. I did not hesitate. "I will die for the men beside me." He paused. "I mean, we do a lot of group projects, but, yeah. Same spirit." Same spirit. He understood me.

Then he asked the question that proved his wisdom.

"What would you say is your greatest weakness?"

No lord had ever honored me so. To ask a warrior his weakness is to ask him to place his life in your open hand. He was offering trust, and asking for mine. So I gave it. I leaned in, and quietly, gravely, I told him the truth. That my left side, below the ribs, is slow to guard when I turn. That a fast man could end me there.

The room went silent.

"...I was gonna say, like, perfectionism," he said. "But, wow. Okay. That's very honest."

I had moved him. A lesser man would fear he had said too much. But I saw his face. He now knew I held nothing back from my lord. The bond was forming.

"Where do you see yourself in five years?"

Still at his side, I told him. Whatever the cost. He nodded slowly, the way a man nods when a vow lands deeper than he was ready for.

He stood. He said the words. "I think you'd be a great fit. Welcome aboard. You can start Monday."

Monday. The day of my first battle.

I dropped to one knee. I drew a slow breath. And before Lord Greg, and the glowing tablet upon his desk, I swore to serve the house until death released me from its service.

"You really don't have to kneel," he said.

But he was smiling.

And a man does not stand when his soul is already on the floor.

I begin Monday. I do not yet know what we are fighting. I have decided it does not matter.

So tell me, America. When a lord asks for your weakness, takes you into his family, and tells you to return on Monday, are you his now? Truly his, unto death?

Because I have already chosen the spot where I will fall for Greg.
And I have never been so at peace.

Today’s Daily Script is different.
Usually I am responding to the cruel, dishonest, or repulsive things said after Katie’s death under the guise of “compassion.”
But today’s comment comes from a sincere and genuinely caring place, which is why it deserves a more thoughtful response.
I will likely have additional thoughts and updates on this throughout the week.
I simply ask people to take a few moments to genuinely consider what is being said here and why I feel it is important to say it.

The Daily Script:
“Katie was killed by an illegal immigrant…but God has a plan…”

This is a line I often hear from well-meaning people after Katie’s death.

I know those words come from a loving and sincere place. I truly appreciate the compassion behind them. But that is not where I am spiritually or emotionally right now.

However, I do not believe God’s plan for Katie was to die in such a preventable, senseless, and irresponsible way because of failures and mismanagement in Urbana and throughout Illinois.
Katie was meant for bigger things. What happened to her was not the work of God. It was the result of fallen people making selfish, reckless, and evil choices.

And to simply place all of this in God’s hands can sometimes feel like it excuses the actions of the people responsible; the killer, the leaders, and the systems that failed.

If we believe God gives mankind free will and moral responsibility, then we cannot ignore the human choices that led here or pretend we are powerless to confront them and build a better society.

Scripture makes clear that God gives mankind free will and moral choice. In Deuteronomy 30, God places before His people “life and prosperity, or death and destruction” and commands them to “choose life.” I believe that truth still applies today. Leaders and societies can choose what is moral, just, and protective of innocent people, or they can pursue ideology, power, and ambition regardless of the consequences.

Katie’s killer repeatedly chose the path of death and destruction. He chose to become intoxicated, drinking throughout the night and even inside his vehicle between the three different bars he visited.

He chose to get behind the wheel impaired, ultimately killing two young women and seriously injuring three more people. Those were not unavoidable circumstances or a simple mistake.

They were deliberate moral failures rooted in arrogance, irresponsibility, and depravity; aided and abetted by authorities who were supposed to put public safety first, that produced catastrophic consequences.

Katie’s killer had a serious history that had already resulted in deportation before the intentional and disastrous open-border policies of Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas allowed him to reenter this country in 2022 with no meaningful safeguards in place.

Long before he got behind the wheel that night, he had already demonstrated a pattern of moral corruption and contempt for the law; entering the country illegally multiple times, residing here unlawfully, using aliases and false documents, driving intoxicated, and carrying a serious communicable disease that authorities failed to properly screen for or address.

These were not isolated mistakes, but repeated conscious choices rooted in deceit, indifference to others, and habitual disregard for both the law and human life. A system that should have protected innocent Americans instead enabled and tolerated dangerous conduct at multiple levels until innocent people paid the price.

The same moral failure exists at the institutional level. Leaders like:
JB Pritzker, Alexi Giannoulias, Dick Durbin, Tammy Duckworth, Toni Preckwinkle, Kwame Raoul, and members of the Illinois General Assembly repeatedly acquiesce to reckless and destructive policies instead of having the courage to challenge an ideology and political leadership that continue putting innocent people at risk.

There is evil in knowingly allowing policies and conditions that repeatedly lead to preventable suffering and loss of innocent life.

We are constantly told these policies are rooted in “compassion” and “virtue,” yet the people responsible rarely acknowledge families like Katie’s because doing so would force them to confront the real-world consequences of their decisions.

At the same time, DUI laws in Illinois and across this country need stronger and more meaningful sentencing that creates real deterrence before more innocent people are killed. Too often, families like Katie’s are left with graves while offenders receive endless second chances, reduced accountability, and opportunities their victims will never get.

When leaders weaken accountability, normalize recklessness, and place ideology or political ambition above public safety, tragedies like this become more likely. Evil behavior tolerated and excused at the top eventually produces devastation at the bottom. This is not complicated. It is human nature combined with failed and morally corrupted leadership.

I believe there will ultimately be judgment for those who abuse positions of authority while innocent people suffer because of their decisions. Maybe they avoid accountability in this life. Maybe they never face meaningful consequences here. But this life is not the end.

And while Katie’s name may be politically inconvenient for some people to acknowledge, I will continue saying it.

Her name was Katie Abraham.

I'm sorry but I put blame on every single Republican Senator for what John Thune is doing.

Senators should be on the steps of the capital, demand in Senator John THUNE do what is necessary to pass the SAVE Act.

To be honest, they should have been working nonstop to codify all EO's, confirming all nominees and doing everything necessary to protect America from the democrats.

The American people issued a mandate on election day and what did the Senate GOP do? They voted for McConnell 2.0.

It's not only THUNE who is betraying the American people, it's every single Senate Republican who refuses to demand his removal and replace him with a real fighter

Senate Republicans never had any intention of passing the Save America Act. And there will likely not be any other votes of consequence between now and the midterms.

Make no mistake, John Thune and his leadership team have betrayed the American people and their president. And they don't care - not one bit. They sabotaged the president's agenda - from day one. Their behavior may likely cost Republicans the House and the Senate. And they deserve to lose.

However, President Trump does not deserve to be impeached and that's exactly what would happen if the Democrats regained control. So, we can't let that happen -- for Donald Trump's sake.

Let's spare President Trump and the First Lady the agony of endless investigations and trumped up charges. Reelect the gutless guttersnipes.

We can deal with the jackassery of Thune and his cowardly band of traitors in 2028.

Our president deserved better. And so did America First voters. We got screwed by the Republicans.

"WE DON'T HAVE THE VOTES."

Every day you hear a Republican use this excuse to justify their failure to act on our behalf.

But what it really represents is an orchestrated FAILURE TO TRY.

We couldn't impeach Biden because "we don't have the votes."

We couldn't impeach Mayorkas because "we don't have the votes."

We couldn't defund the weaponized DOJ because "we don't have the votes."

We couldn't secure the border because "we don't have the votes."

We couldn't repeal Obamacare because "we don't have the votes."

We couldn't stop the endless wars because "we don't have the votes."

It's always the same cowardly line—before they even attempt a fight.

The truth is: They never really wanted the votes.

They never whipped hard, never pressured holdouts, never went all-in.

Because fighting means risk.

Trying means accountability.

It's easier to fundraise off the outrage, pocket donor cash, and blame "lack of votes" while quietly voting with Democrats to keep the swamp flowing.

We gave them the House.

We gave them the Senate.

We gave them the White House.

And still: "We don't have the votes."

No more excuses.

America First means fighting like you mean it—or get out of the way.

The Uniparty playbook is dead.

Time to deliver, or face the consequences in primaries.
