Dolly Parton has died. She was 80. TMZ says her head of security posted it on Instagram this morning, and no cause has been released.

She wrote Jolene, 9 to 5, and I Will Always Love You in the same mountain voice that took a dirt-poor Sevier County girl to more than 100 million records. Imagination Library mailed free books to millions of kids because her daddy never learned to read.

She had been canceling Vegas and Dollywood after dizziness and dehydration, and she lost Carl last March.

Rest in Peace Dolly. You are an American treasure and so incredibly talented. We will always love you.
