I watched people line up, trusting the system. I tried to save a woman who died right after her shot. I couldn’t. The others just waited for their turn, as if nothing had happened. That moment haunts me. I carry it every day, and I refuse to stay silent about what I saw.

People in line, eyes fixed ahead,
Trusting the promise, swallowing their dread.
One fell, I tried, but hope slipped away. Still, the line shuffled forward that day.
Now silence is heavy, the truth hard to bear,
But I owe it to her, and to all who still care.
