We don’t have Peacock, so aren’t watching the Nuggets game. But dang, it apparently wasn’t a good night to miss watching our JV and C team step up! (She says while anxiously refreshing the score with two minutes left.)
@thatelderone@KyleClark@ColoradoMesaU I am actually rooting for my kid to go to UNM or even community college here at home, but my overarching point is that I know a lot of cool people who graduated from CMU. This weekend will be telling.
Folx, I took one for the team and listened to that podcast MPJ was just on to see how many of his quotes were taken out of context, and they kind of were, but also….I hope he figures out his life, and I’m so glad we got Bruce back instead!
Realizing that I can get a much larger TV for the same price as nosebleed Christmas Day Nuggets tickets for our family, and I think this might be the way.
Jonas Valanciunas is considering a stunning EuroLeague move and exiting the NBA.
Per BasketNews sources, Valanciunas was lured by Panathinaikos' multi-year offer.

I think the Nuggets have a very bright future ahead of them, but I am a team mom to my core, and will ride or die even if we some day become the Browns or Rockies of the NBA.
Really rooting for the Warriors to fight hard and win this game and series, and for us to fight hard and win this series so that we both enter round 3 with an equal level of exhaustion.
As an errant preacher’s kid who was raised in devout religiosity, I don’t love everything about Catholicism, but I do love Chicago, and I love that this new pope takes seriously the teachings of Jesus to care for the immigrant, the poor, the oppressed, and to be pro *all* life.
@abby_e_o@emilykmay I am a former CPS sexual abuse investigator and a therapist for SA survivors. The majority of SA happens within the family and extended family. I’m fine letting my kids have sleepovers. But I also am intentional about knowing my kids’ friends and their families.
I spent many years investigating SA cases for CPS, then being a therapist for SA survivors, and I’m actually a big fan of sleepovers. The key is to know your kids’ friends and their families!
in the same vein of "nobody actually wants a village," the amount of parents who are never allowing sleepovers due to anxiety about SA are contributing to the fact that kids are growing up without knowing how to socially interact with people outside their families.
It’s rare that a weekend goes by without one or both of my teens spending a night elsewhere or having friends here. And it’s by and large the same kids they had sleepovers with in 2nd grade.
