I have transgendered
the aliens
that were in
the prison
and which
also were probably
executing
the babies
forgive me
I have the best rallies
so large
and so not bored
look surely when I die there will be at least a couple people who are like “man that guy fucking SUCKED” but one does hope to lead a life where the end result is just a few disparate background singers joining in on that tune and not an entire, massive, collective choir
To ask for classrooms without mold or mice is not radical. Students and teachers deserve decent classroom conditions and teachers deserve decent pay. I stand with @pdxteachers and Portland teachers in their fight to make their schools better for students and themselves.
You have a diverse, global movement that includes Jews that are critical of Israel's occupation, the settlements & want a ceasefire. Maybe just maybe all of them aren't Hamas, anti semities or a "far left" fill in the blank bogeyman. Maybe the Administration should pay attention.
NEW: @UNHumanRights NY Office Director @CraigMokhiber resigns in protest over timidity of key parts of #UN system on issues pertaining to Palestinian Human Rights. In letter to @volker_turk he says: "This is a text-book case of genocide. The European, ethno-nationalist, settler colonial project in Palestine has entered its final phase, toward the expedited destruction of the last remnants of indigenous Palestinian life in #Palestine."
If you think Israel’s goal is to “eliminate Hamas” you have tofu for brains. Even if they kill every nominal Hamas fighter in Gaza they still will have done nothing to eliminate violent resistance, which historically doesn’t disappear after you kill 3300 children
Portland Teachers marching downtown. March stretches out of eyesight, probably most of the Burnside Bridge. Leave time, or get here to listen to their excellent marching band.
Really important per person housing costs from Alex's story on homelessness in Oregon:
1-bdrm Portland apartment: $18,000 per year
Indoor shelter bed: $33,000
PDX Safe Rest Village: $40,000-$64,000
Oregon Dept. of Corrections: $50,000
I spent the past month (months, maybe?) digging into the roots of the state's homeless crisis -- and potential solutions.
Here's part one of the resulting story (stay tuned for the second half, coming tomorrow): https://t.co/m8bTL31MKl
