“Thankfully, the idea that teachers just work 8.30am-3.30pm has been exploded once and for all.”
How do you feel about this statement? I don’t think the increasingly untenable hours and workloads expected of teachers is cause for thanks…but perhaps I am being overly cynical?
Failure, in my opinion, is one of the most important experiences we can provide students. That goes double for our highest achievers who may not be accessing this crucial experience regularly elsewhere.
Schools rarely teach history well, if they teach it at all. And we can't make sense of the present unless we understand the past.
What teachers need is a simple but powerful framework--like the @4qmTeaching method.
