@RapidResponse47 @StephenM One other possible explanation: Americans make crap cars. Raised in the Midwest, my first 2 cars were American made. They had constant maintenance issues and cost a bundle to repair over time.

My 3rd was a Honda. Got to almost 200k with nothing but basic upkeep.
