@HMP403_PH This photo relates to public health because it shows that students are using alternative ways to get to class and across campus other than using motor vehicles. This allows them to become more active which will help them to live a healthier lifestyle.

@HMP403_PH Something I learned during Vanessa Grunkemyer's talk was that food safety is the range of food related activities from prevention and surveillance to detection and control designed to protect the food supply from intention or unintentional contamination.
@HMP403_PH Something I found interesting about Philip Alexakos' talk was that chemical, biomedical, physical, and socioeconomic are the four avenues or mechanisms by which various factors affect people’s health in the environment.
@HMP403_PH I think that if people paid more attention to diet habits and physical activity levels then the rates for heart disease and stroke would decreased greatly. #phtopics_2017
@HMP403_PH About $320 billion dollars are spent on heart disease and stroke yearly and are also projected to rise to $818 billion dollars by the 2030, these costs could be cut if people were more aware of health issues related to causing heart disease and stroke. #phtopics_2017
@HMP403_PH People should also be aware that sometimes woman are at a bigger risk for heart disease and stroke due to birth control, diabetes, and menopause. #phtopics_2017
@HMP403_PH Heart disease and stroke are the two of the leading causes of the death in the US and there should be more awareness and prevention about these diseases to reduce the yearly death rate. #phtopics_2017
