@silly_emily3 They didn’t think to mention missing your kids’ morning routines, the burden of dragging breast pump equipment or pumping in a semi-private space? Slackers
@RevSarahLocke Amazing things I’ve done in my 30s: became Episcopalian, campaign for Beto, became elections judge, teaching Children’s ministry, travel ALOT now that my kids are older (Central Am, Europe, Asia, lots of fishing/camping trips), finish degree, start software sales career
@RevSarahLocke 20’s were hard. 30’s are great! My oldest kids are adults, I’ve a career I’m proud of, a car that doesn’t breakdown, I can run faster and do more pull-ups than I could in my 20’s, my friends are less erratic/unreliable, my 401k is happy, and so on and so forth 💕
@rebeccacherman One time I had to go swim laps without contacts and obviously couldnt wear glasses. I was AMAZED when I opened my eyes in goggles underwater. I could see clearly for once! Since then, I’ve been convinced I am a mermaid. Give it a try.
@mmeans40 My child has an electric BMW (used), it’s great for zipping her to/from school. Terrible for road trips. And electricity is still energy, mostly from fossil fuel. I have an efficient Honda Civic and try to be smart about biking, walking, combining trips and carpooling
@mmeans40@ej_means Mine will be 20 next month! And another 18 in May! It feels good knowing we launched little helpless infants into adulthood. Such an accomplishment. Congrats to you both!
@bouffantbecky Easy: get a second RC chopper and fly it up there to knock it down. If that one also gets stuck, there are always more RC choppers in the banana stand
