Allan Peter Cayetano was cumulatively the shortest serving Senate President of the Philippines post-war since 1953 after the late Jose Zulueta who served for 20 days. Cayetano served for 23 days.

Allan Peter Cayetano also became the first Senate President who committed many illegal and unconstitutional acts under the 20th Congress.

He was also the first Senate President and Speaker of the House who rendered both congressional institutions paralysed due to his greedy-hold on power. He padlocked congress and this time, he also switched off the air conditioning and internet wifi of the Senate to prevent other Senators from conducting business.

Cayetano was also the first Senate President who kneels down infront of the public to show that he a man of God, yet his actions betray such.

He was the first Senate President who actively defended and justified the murders of thousands of Filipinos by the regime of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Lastly, Allan Peter Cayetano is the first Senate President Blogger and retains this new position as he retreats to lick his wounds.

House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III congratulated acting Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian on assuming his new post, expressing confidence in his leadership.

“At a time when our nation looks to its institutions for stability and leadership, a fully functioning Senate is essential to advancing legislation, exercising oversight, and upholding democratic governance,” Dy said in a statement on June 3.
