I submitted a claim for working from home for 20-21 and 21-22 and I have been refunded for 21-22 but both 20-21 and I am trying to understand why? How can I find out?

@HMRCcustomers I understand you don’t have access to personal records but can you confirm the emails I received are legitimate and that my details are secure?
@HMRCcustomers I just want to check an email I have received is from an official HMRC email account. It appears legitimate from the research I have done but wanted to double check. Thanks in advance
@HMRCcustomers The first email received was the ref and then the info they asked for was in the second email. Both from [email protected] but I haven’t heard anything since I sent back my details so just a little concerned that it wasn’t legitimate?
@HMRCcustomers Ok that’s great news so can I confirm the information they have asked for is ok? They asked for the following: •your first and last name
•date of birth
•Post code
•your national insurance number you had entered when redirected to the HMRC website
@HMRCcustomers They gave me the link and I used the push office. They verified my details and then it directs back to the hmrc website to log in. It asks me for my NI but when I enter it is says it doesn’t recognise my details! So then the chat advisor told me to submit a help form which I did
