Between 93–95% of the in-person time you’ll spend with your children will happen before they turn 18.
The final 5–7% will be stretched out over the next 50 years.
Parent with that reality in mind.

Introducing a new look for OCC! We’ve updated our logo, focusing on the cross of Christ as we continue to make him known through the church. Logos come and go, but our mission of training men and women for Christian service remains the same.
✈️ Launch Day is almost here! Mark your calendar for APRIL 7, when Nathan hits the road (sky) for Yokohama! 🇯🇵 Please join us in praying as he starts an exciting new season. God is so faithful, you guys. Philippians 1:6
Thank you for this wonderful service, @butterball.
Stuffing should be stuffed inside the turkey, am I correct?
If I cook stuffing inside the turkey, is there a chance I could kill my guests?
I'm not saying that's necessarily a deal-breaker.
The list of things I don’t know is unending. But this one thing I do: entrust your life into the hands of Christ and he will be faithful to you. Though at times it will seem there’s no direction at all—no meaning, no feeling, no leadership nor light—put one foot in front of the other and walk by faith.
“You are with me, Jesus. You will keep me. My hope is in you. I will trust your words.”
Don’t put a timer on your trust. No “I’m giving you till January.” Just keep going. And Jesus will take you places by those ruptured roads, dry riverbeds and empty hollows you’ll live to say you wouldn’t have wanted to miss for the world.
This wonder, this miracle, this mystery of belief in this Lord we’ve never seen and yet are summoned to know is that, if we’ll trust him the merest whit and walk by faith that his words are true, we’ll realize in retrospect it was him all along we followed in the hollow precisely where he wanted us to go. The holy hollow.
Anywhere with Jesus is a place worth going.
@rigatoneys@caragsdale Oh, I know! I meant “we” as in Andy and me, not “we” as in Joplin. I can’t speak for the rest of town or everyone else in Chad’s real life.
