Marx built his entire economic system on the labor theory of value, and the labor theory of value is wrong. He claimed that the value of a good equals the socially necessary labor time embedded in it. This collapses the moment you ask why a bottle of water sells for ten dollars in the Mojave and fifty cents in Vienna. The labor is identical. The price is not.
Carl Menger settled this in 1871 with his "Principles of Economics." Value is subjective. It arises from the ranking each acting person assigns to units of a good at the margin, not from hours sweated in production. A diamond commands a high price because the marginal unit satisfies an urgent want, while water, abundant, satisfies a trivial one. Marx never answered Menger because he could not. The "Capital" volumes he left unfinished circle the transformation problem endlessly: he could not reconcile labor values with the actual prices markets generate, and Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk demolished the attempt in 1896 in "Karl Marx and the Close of His System."
Then there is the matter of capital itself. The capitalist advances present money against an uncertain future return, absorbing the risk the worker avoids by demanding payment now instead of after the product sells eighteen months later. That premium on present goods over future goods is interest, and it reflects time preference, not theft. Böhm-Bawerk named this in 1884. Marx had no theory of interest because he had no theory of time.
You see the same blindness in his monetary thinking. Marx assumed value was an objective substance you could measure and centrally administer, which is precisely the fantasy that justifies a central authority printing the money supply. Hard money like gold or Bitcoin imposes discipline because no planner sets its quantity by decree. Easy money is the Marxist instinct dressed in a suit: someone in a committee decides what your labor is worth and dilutes it at will.
Every socialist calculation since 1917 has crashed into the wall Ludwig von Mises identified in 1920. Without market prices, you cannot allocate capital, because you cannot calculate. Marx never priced anything. He counted hours and called it science.
🇺🇸🇺🇦🇷🇺 So Russia was right about the bio labs!?
“The US Has Relocated Ukrainian Bio-Labs to Africa and Are Planning to Release Avian Flu a bioweapon To Start Another Pandemic, and Blame It On Putin.
The U.S. bioweapon operations was relocated due to Russia’s liberation of the labs in Ukraine.
Biden-owned Metabiota and other intermediary NGOs are running cover for the U.S. State Department and DoD, posing as humanitarian organizations to conceal their true objective of pathogen production for Big Pharma.“
Here's a list of the reasons women provide for why they got an abortion.
The least common explanation was incest, followed by rape. The most common was that having a baby would be a lot to handle.
Many of the onshore wind farms along the coasts of the UK and Denmark are falling apart after only 10 years.
A study reveals that energy contributions from wind farms begin to fall sharply after only 10 to 15 years, leaving the skeletons of steel and plastic blowing in the wind.
The economic analysis reveals the lifespan of an onshore turbine is not 20 to 25 years, as stated by the wind industry itself, supported by the UK Government.
This peer reviewed British study reveals that the energy production of onshore wind farms falls substantially as they get older, due to wear and tear. Energy and environmental economist, Professor Gordon Hughes (University of Edinburgh), carried out the statistical analysis of wind farm performance data in the UK and Denmark.
He concluded that load factors, like electricity generated as a percentage of capacity, declined a lot faster than expected, suggesting a baseline 10 to 15 year lifespan. This is when the technical life of most turbines crunch to halt, and become unprofitable to continue. Rising maintenance costs makes them uneconomical.
The study found the average UK wind farm's ability to meet electricity demand had fallen by a third after around 10 years, leading to a conclusion that many are fully uneconomic to run after only 12 years.
While the wind industry generally forecasts a 25-year lifespan, the data reveals a different reality about the viability of keeping them spinning so long. Many companies now 'repower' (replace old turbines with new ones) long before the 25-year target to maximise subsidies and output. This often ends the lifespan of the original hardware much sooner.
The wind farm study is published by the 'Renewable Energy Foundation on the Performance of Wind Farms in the United Kingdom and Denmark, 2012'.
Carl Menger destroyed the labor theory of value in 1871 with a single insight: humans value goods based on their marginal utility, not the labor embedded in them. The same year, William Stanley Jevons in England and Léon Walras in France independently arrived at similar conclusions about marginal utility. Three economists, three countries, one revolutionary idea that shattered Marx's entire framework.
Menger's "Principles of Economics" went further than his contemporaries by building economics from individual human action rather than mathematical abstractions. While Jevons and Walras constructed elegant equations, Menger asked the fundamental question: why does anyone value anything at all? His answer traced value back to human needs and the decreasing satisfaction each additional unit provides. The tenth glass of water matters less than the first when you're dying of thirst.
The timing wasn't coincidental. By 1871, classical economics had painted itself into a corner with the labor theory of value. If labor determines value, why do diamonds cost more than water? Why do identical goods sell for different prices? Value exists only in the mind of the acting individual. No intrinsic value, no objective measurement, just human preferences ranking scarce goods according to their ability to satisfy wants.
Menger's approach created the foundation for the entire Austrian school tradition that followed. Böhm-Bawerk used marginal utility to explain interest rates. Mises extended it to money and the business cycle. Rothbard applied it to ethics and political theory. Every free market economist since 1871 stands on Menger's shoulders.
The establishment still teaches economics as if Menger never existed, preferring mathematical models to human action, aggregate demand curves to individual choice, and central planning to market processes.
En los últimos 34 años, el hombre chino medio ha crecido 7,6 cm más que su abuelo.

Entonces, ¿qué les ha hecho crecer tan rápido?
La respuesta puede que te sorprenda:
Ludwig von Mises destroyed socialism in 1920 with a single paper. His calculation argument revealed the fundamental impossibility: without market prices for capital goods, socialist planners cannot allocate resources rationally. No prices means no economic calculation means no functioning economy.
The Soviet collapse 71 years later proved him right. Central planners accumulated massive steel reserves while people starved — they had no way to calculate whether steel was more valuable than bread. Market prices solve this instantly through voluntary exchange.
Every modern economist should read "Economic Calculation in the Socialist Commonwealth." Mises explained why socialism fails: without market prices, rational resource allocation becomes impossible. Free markets are the only path to human prosperity.

@elonmusk Now start talking regularly about “universal high income”
Let’s start getting them excited to be “taken care of” by the government.
They will have to comply, or starve.
@elonmusk@UBERSOY1 "Universal income" is fundamentally a socialist wealth redistribution scheme. Not only will the government have to coercively take resources to give them back (since it produces nothing itself); how can it calculate what people "need"? Misesian Economic Calculation Problem again.

Angela Merkel just ADMITTED on CAMERA she deliberately flooded Germany with third-world migrants to “stop the far right.”
She chose to erase her own people rather than lose power.
This wasn’t a mistake.
It was demographic warfare.
This is TREASON.
Well you see:
* We started bailing out big businesses, and ignoring anti-competition laws.
* Businesses deemed "to big to fail" no longer needed to compete on customer satisfaction.
* They optimized for the short-term quarterly KPIs of the stock market and shareholders.
* Other businesses had to follow suit just to be competitive.
And so America moved from real capitalism, where consumers vote with their wallets, to a post-capitalist oligarchy, where the wealthy buy votes.
This was entrenched with Citizen's United allowing unlimited dark money into politics, preventing laws from rolling this back.
So businesses went from competing for happy customers, to competing to make the most dollars for those who owned the government.
And the enshittification of America was cemented.
Real capitalism is what we had in the 1970s with strong unions, a growing middle class, reasonable taxes and businesses that provided quality goods and services.
Oligarchs spent a fuck-ton of money telling you that what you have today is capitalism and that you must either defend it (or hate all capital) because it keeps you in-fighting between political parties instead of being angry at them.
When we realize that good capitalism involves social programs, labor, and businesses that do right by consumers - we can get back to this world.
We can have leg room again!
unpopular opinion: 16GB is plenty if software engineers actually cared about memory efficiency. chrome eating 4GB for 12 tabs is not a hardware problem its a software disgrace. docker consuming 2GB idle is not a feature its laziness. we live in an era where people optimize every single token to save $0.001 on API costs but happily ship electron apps that eat 500MB to display a todo list. if the industry treated RAM the way we treat inference compute - obsessively measuring every byte - 16GB would feel luxurious. the hardware isnt the problem, the software is @adxtyahq
