What started as a simple weekend hack turned into a custom-built, real-time @FIFAWorldCup scoreboard powered by a tiny 32×32 iDot Matrix display.
Turned an old 32×32 iDot Matrix display into a live FIFA World Cup scoreboard using a custom Windows app.
The hard part wasn’t the API integration—data was pulled from https://t.co/q9iXNZCdJa and API-Football.
Standard fonts were unreadable (2nd image) at 32×32, so I built a dedicated pixel-font system and custom layouts for the display.
Looking to connect with more solo builders and founders.
People turning curiosity into products.
Learning as they go.
Figuring things out one step at a time.
Who knows…
Maybe we’ll end up building something together one day.
I’m working on a concept that’s been consuming a lot of my spare time lately.
The idea:
Applications shouldn’t need AI bolted onto them.
They should be able to generate their own intelligence from the knowledge they already contain.
Still early, lets see where it takes me
Everyone talks about model intelligence.
I think application intelligence is the more interesting problem.
The model can be replaced.
The context can’t.
“SaaS launch video editor” is genuinely one of the hottest jobs right now 😅
Every AI startup launches with a well animated product video.
Watching products like https://t.co/9axVtZLryt build around this growing demand is fascinating.
Curious to see where this space goes.
@JustJerry121 Definitely closer to applications than inference engines 😄
I’ve been thinking a lot about local AI, but mostly through the lens of how software can own and deploy its own intelligence rather than relying entirely on cloud models.
Still early in my exploration though.
Looking to connect with more people exploring:
• Local LLMs
• On-device AI
• Edge inference
• Domain-specific models
• AI infrastructure
If you’re building or researching in this space, let’s connect.
The last time I remember Twitter being this chaotic was:
“Drop your NFT below, I’ve got buyers 👇”
Now it’s:
“Founders, drop your startup below, I’ve got VCs 👇”
The NFT guys became AI guys.
The “drop your NFT below” tweets became “founders, drop your startup below.”
Twitter’s ability to reinvent the same hustle is unmatched 😂
We’re building an entire generation of products on rented intelligence.
As token costs rise and proprietary context flows through third-party models, I’m starting to wonder how sustainable that really is.
Agree or disagree?
my favorite updates from #WWDC25
- the customizable control center for mac
- the redesigned apple music app
- the iPadOS becoming macOS
- THE IPADOS BECOMING MACOS???
@samm_duc Let’s just say I’ve always struggled with personal budgeting 😅.
Most apps just show you the data, but don’t tell you what to do next. I’m using AI to bridge that gap — turning data into smart, actionable insights. Building it in a way I’d actually want to keep using it myself.
Fellow Startup App builders:
What are you working on with the help of Cursor or any AI IDEs?
drop it below!.
Let’s support each other.
AI IDEs like Cursor unlocked a whole new world for me.
