On the front page of our book The Kidnapping there is a picture of Don Tidey at Ballyconnell Garda Station on the day he was rescued from Derrada Wood, December 16th, 1983. The young man on the left is Eugene O'Sullivan, the Garda on the far right is the late Bill Somers who narrowly escaped being shot by the Provisional IRA. After the ceremony in Ballinamore today, Eugene and Bill's son John visited Derrada Wood and Eugene stood at the crossroads where they exchanged fire with a Provo gang that disappeared into a nearby wood. @TConlonthecouch

This an unbelievable achievement and throw in about 50 challenge games too..was available for every O Byrne Cup game aswell as league and champo and never asked to be rested… Don’t think we will ever see a player reaching this many games in the future . Dont rule out the 200 😉
