@mrsinha The term "Hindu" did not exist as a religious self-identifier in ancient India. Labeling ancient India as "Hindu" is nothing but anachronism and must be considered as a crime bigger than rape or murder. By imposing modern identity onto the past we are murdering/raping history.

-Even today, traditional Buddhists worship Hindu deities alongside Buddha.

Buddhism is no different from Hinduism.

And then there are Indian Buddhists, most of whom are recent converts, claiming that Hinduism is copied from Buddhism and Buddha was not a Hindu.

This is the narrative fed to them by the Islamic ecosystem. Sadly, they’ve become pawns of the very same ecosystem that stands against both Hinduism and Buddhism.
