This is what youth coaches and parents should be telling kids:
1. You are loved.
2. Have fun.
3. It’s okay to mess up. Everyone does.
4. Fear is normal. Don’t worry about the outcome. Go for it!
5. Smile. It’s a game.
6. I believe in you!
7. Here’s how to be a great teammate.
Remember, if everything came easy we wouldn't know what it felt like to truly succeed.
Obstacles are meant to be overcome. Fear is meant to be conquered. Success is meant to be achieved.
Believe. Take action. Play to Win Today.
Tell yourself (and someone else) these 5 things today:
1. You are loved!
2. You matter.
3. It’s okay to fail. Everyone does.
4. Fear is normal. Don’t worry about the outcome. Go for it!
5. Smile, you’ve got this.
@JonGordon11 Hello, I am a 5th grade teacher. I am excited to resume my 15 year teaching career after 5 years of staying home with my family. Every bit helps and I am so grateful for your support. https://t.co/HzAf5DgJZA… #clearthelist

When I speak to college athletes I tell them 20 years from now you’re not going to wish you would have spent more time on social media or played more Fortnite or partied more. 20 years from now you’ll wish you would have devoted yourself to being the best you can be.
God is good at being God.
We don’t have to try to fix what He hasn’t assigned us to fix. No need to manipulate, control or spend all our emotions trying to figure it out.
We can let Him be God & free ourselves from the impossible assignment of trying to keep it all together.
This AM a Do-Not-Give-Up breakfast sandwich from 2 Cor 4:
“we do not give up...(V.1)
We are afflicted...
but not crushed;
we are perplexed
but not in despair;
we are persecuted
but not abandoned;
we are struck down
but not destroyed.(Vv.8-9)
...we do not give up.”(V.16)
5 Ways to be More Positive:
1. Count your blessings. You can’t be stressed and thankful at the same time.
2. See your challenges as opportunities for growth.
3. Don’t listen to your negative thoughts.
4. Feed yourself with positive encouragement.
5. Choose faith instead of fear.
