Omg, it’s been a year😳 There were good things and bad things in the last year, but meh. Still driving the car with no problems - though I think there’s something up with another nerve (the one that’s close to the one that was pressured by the glass before), but, well…
Yay! First time I drove to work completely in my own since the surgery!😁
My arm is recovering pretty well, but wearing the sling might have uncovered a possible problem with my spine in the neck area… oh well, it’s not confirmed, so I’m not gonna worry about that yet
Turns out, you get best wishes sent to you from Mayor’s office on your Birthday in Moscow these days😁
On that note, I still can’t believe I’m 34 now… still feels like I barely got to 20😅🤣
Been having neuropathic pain from elbow to wrist the last few days😖 the meds from neurologist start working about a week after you start taking them, so🤷🏻♀️
But there’s good news too - the stitches are out, and doc said everything’s healing well
Finally, a proper shower tomorrow🥳
First visit to the physiotherapist tomorrow. Tiny bit nervous, but mostly just curious what it’s gonna be like.
My arm seems to have recovered its’ range of motion a little bit as well as some of its’ strength, so that’s good.
Still a week to go before the stitches are out though
Mom, as an ex-nurse, insisted that she’ll be the one to change bandages. Which she did last night. Were still under the impression😅
Mom keeps insisting that I should use a medical cream later to lessen the scar. Yeah, no, that’s my freaking scar and I am going to keep it as is🤣
I might be a girl, but it’s still gonna look pretty cool😁 besides, it’s on the back and inner side of my upper arm, so it’s not like it’s the first thing people are gonna see or anything🤷🏻♀️
That it’s gonna be another excuse not to wear more feminine clothes is a bonus🤪
Geez, waist long hair is impossible to manage when one of your arms is in the sling. Really needed to wash my hair after getting out of the hospital and wasn’t sure if I had something to cover the stitches from water. Ended up going to a hairdresser just to get a hair wash🤣
Got out of the hospital yesterday, the thing in my arm turned out to be a piece of glass😱 lucky that it didn’t cause any serious harm while it was there for who knows how many years, but I’m still currently on a paid sick leave with only one working arm for indefinite time🤷🏻♀️
Heck, there’s no scar even that would suggest there’s a 1.5 cm long something under my skin.
I’m soooo requesting to keep this thing after it’s out of my arm where, according to medics, it’s “intimately adheres to the muscle”…
The wording sounds even funnier in Russian😁
Been busy lately.
For one, I got my driver license for cars, will probably get the one for bikes later this year.
Second thing is my elbow. There’s something there of “metallic density” (so said CT scan) that apparently also interferes with the elbow nerve.
Got an ultrasound and an appointment with a neurologist later this week, then back to the hospital for an appointment with the surgeon that I haven’t set up yet.
Where did that maybe metallic thing come from is a mystery, because I don’t remember anything that could let to this
People always say that Russia is super cold, and Moscow is far from being the coldest
Well, now it's officially confirmed by weather reports - because we won't get "real winter", it's gonna stay "euro winter". As in "I guess I don't need to unpack the winter clothes after all" XD
No, seriously! Not that I'm complaining, you know, but we get snow and ice and all that, but people keep wearing the autumn jackets because it's not cold enough for the winter ones.
Also, the part where "the real winter won't come to Moscow" was on the news is funny as heck XDD
