I'm yet to regret ma decision to stop going to any physical church.
So this would've been the nonsense i will be hearing in the name of "house of God"
No difference between this and those foolish podcasts anchored by foolish women.
Most Nigerians will insult you for investing ₦50m in a government bond that pays ₦9.5m yearly.
But they’ll clap for someone who buys a ₦50m Benz to impress people who cannot afford his fuel. 😭
At a 19% annual coupon rate:
₦50m could mean ₦9.5m interest yearly
₦100m could mean ₦19m interest yearly
₦200m could mean ₦38m interest yearly
The total interest you'd earn for 10years would be around N71.25m, N142.5m or N285m. Do this until 2034, collect your capital at maturity, subject to the bond terms.
Some people are busy asking how to upgrade their lifestyle.
Others are asking how to make their money finance that lifestyle.
Same country. Different money conversations.
But we prefer looking rich to becoming rich.
IFE❤️
I have never met anyone who became poor because they financially helped people less privileged than themselves.
The argument is that all the money they gave out could have been invested to help prevent the poverty they eventually fell into. This part is debatable.
However, what is clear is that if the conversation is honest, you will see where the man truly lost his money, and it's never at the point of helping others.
I am convinced that if he didn't help those people, whatever factor made him poor would have still made him poor.
Funny story:
When I was in JSS2, I attended a lesson where a girl who had a crush on me offered me 500 naira. It was a lot of money then; I had to reject it.
For the next 5 years, every time I was broke and 500 naira could save me, I would always tell myself I should have collected that money from Kafayat. If I did, maybe I wouldn't be broke now. The truth is that if I had collected that money then, I wouldn't have had it on me 5 months later.
The money you give to others, if you didn't give it then, you will more often than not have spent it on something else that would be impacted by subsequent overall life decisions.
