All these actors who criticize capitalism should work only in DD. They should not be allowed to work in private channels. They should not be allowed to do movies that they want to. Producers as a profession must disbanded. Only Govt funds and permits movies as per their wish.
Yeah, I need to give money to Anurag Kashyap to make films the way he wants else it's a failure of capitalism. Accept that there are fewer takers for AK films and those who like him should pay a bomb and watch what they like.
Black Friday, Gulaal,Gangs Of Wasseypur, Dev D, Ugly are cult classics! These are the movies made for right reasons which will last the test of time. Even Manmarziyaan, Nishaanchi, Bandar have been acclaimed.
He’s the only one who’s making movies with heart and passion, for sheer love of making the movies!!
Capitalism and reading everything as per numbers has completely ruined film making in general.
Even the greatest movie Kagaaz Ke Phool and Mera Naam Joker were flops!! Didn’t minimise their greatness and eventual legacy they created!!
We actually have some of the most patriotic set of people in the country.. America, UK, Italy, Finland, Iran has huge swathes of their population who have the guts out of their country. There is nothing uniquely bad about India. It's a cope for our underperformance...
Every country will have its share of citizens who'd be unhappy with the state, its policies and actions. But no country has the problem of 'enemy within' like India - a small percentage is also a huge number here. They spend every waking minute hating every aspect of their own country, wishing for its failure, take great pride in belittling their own nation in front of the world, actively aid those who want to see the country's demography changed and even encourage separatism
@tiredddshre Yes, but my point you don't need to make a cost of war movie to recognise cost of war. You can wage a war and celebrate its triumph while acknowledging the cost. Border does it so well too..
I think the point has been missed. Before asking “Has he even seen the film?”, it may be worth considering that those who have lived with war often speak about it from a place deeper than cinematic critique.
Gen Naravane was not debating cinematic realism. He was making a larger point: war is a bloody game.
The extraordinary incidents portrayed in The Longest Day are part of history. What distinguishes the film is that it does not lose sight of the human cost.
Those who have worn the uniform may sometimes see things that the rest of us do not. @MattooShashank@ManojNaravane
Theatre owners want...
Bums on seats. Butter on popcorn. Money in register.
That's it. No love of cinema. No passion for the art form.
We make films thinking we're creating art.
And they calculate how many samosas they can sell.
Both are valid. Only one of us is delusional.
Annamalai will contest and win his seat or a bunch of seats by a comfortable margin in 2031. And then make a pitch at power at 2036 and you all will still be crying he's an outsider..
Even after speaking all this, Annamalai was frightened to contest even a single seat.
Vijay contested all seats and won the elections handsomely.
Courage is what matters in politics. Nothing else.
Why should people unnecessaril question religion simply because you find religion inferior to whatever the hell that you believe. Kya keeda hain logon kaa. Don't question Hinduism. Don't question Islam. Let people live in peace.
The reality is most people are authoritarian assholes in India. Remember the analogy. Indians have a metaphorical rod in their hands that they are constantly looking to shove down someone else's asshole. Comedians are the best target because they are suffciently famous and completely powerless and magnificently idiotic. None of these auhtoritarians would have the guts to question their cherished religious texts. All these folks are a bunch of fucking hypocrites.
Elon Musk is actively involved in the politics of Republicans but never seen Democrats trying to downgrade his any companies whereas in India our own people constantly do Hit jobs against Corporate groups that actually tried to do some thing. Eg :- Sridhar Vembu, Adani
#Governor starts its box office journey with ₹95 lakh on Day 1.
For a film that is so positive, inspiring and relevant.. the opening day turnout should have been much better. Sadly, audiences didn't show up in expected numbers.
Still, strong word of mouth could help #Governor surprise everyone and emerge as a sleeper success. But let's see how it goes. With a reported budget of ₹20–25 crore and only 1450 shows nationwide.. far fewer than competing releases.. the weekend will be crucial for the film's theatrical run.

Can someone tell what the play is about? I have to decide if I should watch it or not. If it's Aman Ki Asha nonsense which seems likely I'm not watching it.
I'm so proud of Sunny Deol doing movies like Gadar & Batwara 1947 and Aamir Khan @AKPPL_Official backing such stories.
Batwara 1947 is said to be adapted from the famous play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai, written by Asghar Wajahat and is woven around the India-Pakistan partition of 1947.
Add @AzmiShabana@RajSantoshi@realpreityzinta@alifazal9 to that, and imagine what a fantastic movie that would be.
