One of my unexpected favorite things about marriage — you inherit a whole new group of family that sends you stupid memes on social media, and you have to learn their senses of humor so you can send them memes they’ll appreciate in return

Today I broke down during our protest. I took a bit, wiped my face, and then, still crying, chanted louder than I had been before. SubhanAllah, it was such a healing experience to channel that frustration and hurt into speaking up for our brothers and sisters in Palestine 🇵🇸✌🏽
